HISPANIC HERITAGE OBSERVANCE, Sept. 10:
The 3rd Infantry Division and 42nd Fires Brigade hosts
their annual observance for National Hispanic Heritage Month, 11:30 a.m.
Wednesday, 10 SEP 14 at Club Stewart in the Main Ball Room. The observance will
highlight this year's theme: “Hispanics: A legacy of history, a present of
action and a future of success.” The
observance will feature Professor Ruben Salinas of Savannah College of Arts and
Design (SCAD) as the keynote speaker, with a band and dancers from the
Hinesville Area Hispanic Heritage Club.

Registration is under way for the Stewart/Hunter “Bend-the-Bar” Powerlifting and Bench Press Challenge at 10 a.m. Sept. 20 at the Johnson Fitness Center (formerly 4th IBCT Fitness Center). Men and women will compete in 12 weight classes, following USPF rules. Winners must have a successful lift in squat, bench and deadlift.
