ID CARD APPOINTMENT ONLY SYSTEM, today: 
Effective today the Identification Card Sections at Stewart, Hunter Army Airfield, and the Mower Processing Center begins an appointment only system. Walk-ins will no longer be allowed. WLC NIPR ACCESS: 
Effective immediately for WLC class 01-15 all Soldiers must have a valid NIPER account allowing them to log on to the computers as a DOD user, NOT AS A DOD VISTOR! Please ensure all Soldiers know their pin number to their CAC. This is a new requirement from the Department of the Army CIO G6. Please disseminate this information down to the lowest unit level ASAP! Failure to follow these instruction will result in the student inability to use any of the study or test taking material which will result in dismissal.

VETERANS PARKWAY ROAD WIDENING STARTED: 
Utility construction has begun on Veterans Parkway Widening Project. Motorists need to use extreme caution when passing equipment and be aware of workers on the ground near the roadway. POC for this Project is Matt Bolen, Project Manager, DPW,  at 912-767-7049.

LIBERTY COUNTY SATELLITE TAG OFFICE HOURS CHANGE, today:  
Beginning today the Liberty County Satellite Tag Office, located at Fort Stewart in bldg 226, hours will change FROM 8:30 a.m. – noon TO 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.  For more information call (912) 767-9593.

PASSPORT OFFICE CLOSURE, through Sept. 3
The Fort Stewart/HAAF Passport Office located at the Soldier Service Center, building 253, on Fort Stewart will be closed through Sept. 3. During this period, there will be no passport processing capabilities.  If you require assistance with passports, please contact the Passport Office at 912-767-6943 to schedule an appointment prior to Monday.  


ACS FINANCIAL READINESS CLASS CHANGE, Sept. 4:  
The Car Buying workshop scheduled for Sept. 4 has been changed to a Trapped by Debt Workshop.  Do you have more than 20% Debt-to-Income ratio? REMEMBRANCE CEREMONY, Sept. 11:

The Fort Stewart and HAAF Dining Facilities cordially invite DA Civilians and Family Members to dine with us.  

FORT STEWART DINING FACILITY OPERATING HOURS, September:  
Legion (Bldg 207, 660 Harmon Ave), Raider (Bldg 642, 1312 William H. Wilson Ave) Wheelhorse (Bldg 3003, 1600 W. 6th Street), and Vanguard (Bldg 8439, Vanguard Road) DFACs will be open for weekday breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals, Monday - Friday.  Weekend/holiday hours begin with the supper meal on Friday (for the training holiday on 29 August – 1 September, the weekend designated DFACs begins with supper on 28 August).  Dining Facility information can be found on the Team Stewart webpage at: http://www.stewart.army.mil/info.asp?e=DFAC For questions please contact 767-8761 or call the 24-hour DFAC hotline at 767-4991.

The Fort Stewart Weekday Meal hours are Breakfast 7:30-9 a.m.; Lunch 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.; and Dinner 5-6:30 p.m.  Thursday Breakfast hours are; Legion 6-8 a.m.; Raider 5-6:30 a.m.; Wheelhorse 5-6:30 a.m.; and Vanguard 7:30-9 a.m.; Lunch and Dinner Meal Hours for all DFAC's on Thursday are; Lunch from Noon to 1:30 p.m.; and Dinner from 5-6:30 p.m.  Friday Dinner Meal hours are 4-5:30 p.m. 

HAAF CONSOLIDATED DINING FACILITY OPERATING HOURS, September:
HAAF Consolidated DFAC (Bldg 110, 89 William Barksdale Cir) Weekday Meal Hours are Breakfast 7:30-9:00 a.m.; Lunch 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.; and Dinner 5-6:30 p.m.  Friday Meal Hours are breakfast 6:30-7 a.m. & 7:30-9:00 a.m.; Lunch 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.; and Dinner 5-6:30 p.m. Weekend and Holiday Meal Hours are Brunch 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m.; and Supper 5-6:30 p.m.

DRIVE THRU FLU, Oct. 16 & 17:  
It's Flu season again.  The 2014-2015 Annual PODEX/Drive-Thru Flu Clinic will be held Oct. 16 and 17, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the WINN Hospital overflow parking lot next to Bennett's Sports Complex.  Open to DoD employees and the entire Military beneficiary population including all children 2 years of age and older.

FMWR NEWS 

SIGN-UP EXTENDED FOR TOP OF THE ROCK 5K & 10K RUN, Saturday (Sept. 6): 
Registration for the Top of the Rock 5K & 10K Run has been extended until Thursday (Sept. 4) at 3 p.m. The run is open to the public, will have 10 age categories for male and female competitors, plus 10K Team Competition for Active Duty with a minimum of 10 members from same company. Register online only at www.ACTIVE.com <http://www.ACTIVE.com>. Trophies awarded to the top three overall 5K and 10K male and female finishers, top two finishers in each age category and top two team finishers. Participants will receive T-shirts. The run begins at 8 a.m. between Newman Fitness Center and the Quick Track. Cost to register before event is $25 for DoD ID cardholders, $30 for civilian public. Day-of-race registration fee is $40. LONG RANGE SHOOTING, Saturday (Sept. 6): 
Opportunity for Soldiers, Retirees, Army Civilians, and civilian guests to sight-in large caliber weapons from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Red Cloud Range Complex-Echo (off GA Hwy 119 North). Bring your rifles or muzzle loaders of any caliber. No pistols or shotguns. Targets are at 100 to 1,000 meters. Cash-only fee is $10 per two-hour block/person. NATIONAL GRANDPARENTS DAY AT STEWART BOWLING, Sept. 7:

LEWIS CLASS SKEET AND TRAP SHOOT, Sept. 20: (Register by Sept. 18.)
A Lewis Class Skeet and Trap Shoot will be held at 9 a.m. Sept. 20 at the Fort Stewart Skeet Range, building 8332, at Holbrook Recreation Area.  Prizes and door prizes will be awarded. “BEND-THE-BAR” POWERLIFTING AND BENCH PRESS CHALLENGE, Sept. 20 (Registration ongoing.) 
Registration is under way for the Stewart/Hunter “Bend-the-Bar” Powerlifting and Bench Press Challenge at 10 a.m. Sept. 20 at the Johnson Fitness Center (formerly 4th IBCT Fitness Center). Men and women will compete in 12 weight classes, following USPF rules. Winners must have a successful lift in squat, bench and deadlift. T-shirts will be given to each paying participant and prizes will be awarded in all weight classes. Entry fee is $15 per person until Sept. 15 and $20 per person after Sept. 15. ROCKY CUP AT STERLING LINKS GOLF COURSE, RICHMOND HILL, Sept. 20: (Register by Sept. 18.) Join fellow Stewart/Hunter golfers vs. Sterling Links Golf Club (off Hwy 144 East, Richmond Hill) in Quarterly Ryder Cup format matches between both course players starting at 8 a.m. Sept. 20. Two-person teams paired with full field of 20 representing both courses. The $30 per person cost includes tournament fee, golf cars, driving range and light lunch. (Registration ongoing.) Register to have your on-post garage sale location noted on a map of Post-Wide Housing Garage Sale sites at Stewart and Hunter from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 4. There is no charge. Only residents of post housing are eligible to sell, but everyone, including civilians in nearby communities, is invited to the neighborhood garage sale throughout Stewart and Hunter post housing areas. FORT MCALLISTER WOUNDED WARRIOR FISHING RODEO, Sept. 20 
(register by Sept. 10): The Fort McAllister Sports Fishing Club, ICW community sponsors, will take Soldiers fishing at both inshore and offshore locations, Sept 20 for their annual Fishing Rodeo.  Soldiers who wish to participate contact SFC Justin Scott NLT Sept. 10 (usarmy.stewart.3-id.list.comrel@mail.mil).  Purple Heart recipients and Wounded Warriors will have priority.  A Captain's picnic at J.F. Gregory Park in Richmond Hill will take place at a date TBD for participating Soldiers to meet their boat captains. HINESVILLE MOVIES IN THE PARK, Ongoing:  
The Hinesville Downtown Development Authority continues the “Movies in the Park” series in Bryant Commons’ amphitheater, at 438 Oglethorpe Highway in downtown Hinesville. “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2” will be shown Oct. 3, and “Blind Slide” on Nov. 14. The shows will begin at 7:30 p.m., with gates opening at 6:30 p.m. “Halloween” will be shown October 31 at 10 p.m.  No one under age 18 should attend.
There is no admission to the movies.  Parking costs $1 per car load. Spectators can bring chairs and blankets as seating in the beautiful Bryant Commons amphitheater. Go to Milconnect at https://www.dmdc.osd.mil/milconnect, login, select the "My profile" tab, select "Update and View My Profile", select the tab that corresponds to your current role in DoD (i.e. Mil, CIV, CTR, etc).  On the duty installation drop down menu select your correct duty location.  Your name will be removed from Marne Message distribution lists at the next scheduled update which is performed monthly.
