WLC NIPR ACCESS:
Effective immediately for WLC class 01-15 all Soldiers must have a valid NIPER account allowing them to log on to the computers as a DOD user, NOT AS A DOD VISITOR! Please ensure all Soldiers know their pin number to their CAC. This is a new requirement from the Department of the Army CIO G6. Please disseminate this information down to the lowest unit level ASAP! Failure to follow these instructions will result in the student inability to use any of the study or test taking material which will result in dismissal.

ACS FINANCIAL READINESS CLASS CHANGE, Sept. 4: 
The Car Buying workshop scheduled for Sept. 4 has been changed to a Trapped by Debt Workshop.  Do you have more than 20% Debt-to-Income ratio? HUNTER ARMY SUBSTANCE ABUSE PROGRAM TRAINING, Sept. 5:
Hunter Army Airfield’s Army Substance Abuse Program conducts Quarterly Substance Abuse Prevention and Awareness Training, Sept. 5, 9 to 10 a.m.; 10:15 to 11:15 a.m.; 1 to 2 p.m. and 2:15 to 3:15 p.m., at the Hunter Post Theater, building 1282.   All units are encouraged to take advantage of this training opportunity.  ASAP counts the hours toward each unit’s minimum four hour annual Substance Abuse Prevention and Awareness Training requirement.  For more information call David Bennett, Prevention Coordinator 912-315-5592.

REMEMBRANCE CEREMONY, Sept. 11:

DRIVE THRU FLU, Oct. 16 & 17:  
It's Flu season again.  The 2014-2015 Annual PODEX/Drive-Thru Flu Clinic will be held Oct. 16 and 17, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the WINN Hospital overflow parking lot next to Bennett's Sports Complex.  Open to DoD employees and the entire Military beneficiary population including all children 2 years of age and older.

SIGN-UP EXTENDED FOR TOP OF THE ROCK 5K & 10K RUN, through Thursday:
Registration for the Top of the Rock 5K & 10K Run has been extended until Thursday (Sept. 4) at 3 p.m. 



Top of the Rock is open to the public, will have 10 age categories for male and female competitors, plus 10K Team Competition for Active Duty with a minimum of 10 members from same company. Register online only at www.ACTIVE.com <http://www.ACTIVE.com>. Trophies awarded to the top three overall 5K and 10K male and female finishers, top two finishers in each age category and top two team finishers. Participants will receive T-shirts. The run begins at 8 a.m. between Newman Fitness Center and the Quick Track. Cost to register before event is $25 for DoD ID cardholders, $30 for civilian public. Day-of-race registration fee is $40. LONG RANGE SHOOTING, Saturday (Sept. 6):
Soldiers, Retirees, Army Civilians, and civilian guests to sight-in your large caliber weapons from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Red Cloud Range Complex-Echo (off GA Hwy 119 North). Bring your rifles or muzzle loaders of any caliber. No pistols or shotguns. Targets are at 100 to 1,000 meters. Cash-only fee is $10 per two-hour block/person. NATIONAL GRANDPARENTS DAY AT STEWART BOWLING, Sept. 7:

LEWIS CLASS SKEET AND TRAP SHOOT, Sept. 20:
(Register by Sept. 18.) A Lewis Class Skeet and Trap Shoot will be held at 9 a.m. Sept. 20 at the Fort Stewart Skeet Range, building 8332, at Holbrook Recreation Area.  Prizes and door prizes will be awarded. CHARACTER MEET & GREET AT HUNTER, Sept. 20:

“BEND-THE-BAR” POWERLIFTING AND BENCH PRESS CHALLENGE, Sept. 20 (Registration ongoing.):
Registration is under way for the Stewart/Hunter “Bend-the-Bar” Powerlifting and Bench Press Challenge at 10 a.m. Sept. 20 at the Johnson Fitness Center (formerly 4th IBCT Fitness Center). Men and women will compete in 12 weight classes, following USPF rules. Winners must have a successful lift in squat, bench and deadlift. T-shirts will be given to each paying participant and prizes will be awarded in all weight classes. Entry fee is $15 per person until Sept. 15 and $20 per person after Sept. 15. ROCKY CUP AT STERLING LINKS GOLF COURSE, RICHMOND HILL, Sept. 20 (Register by Sept. 18.):
Join fellow Stewart/Hunter golfers vs. Sterling Links Golf Club (off Hwy 144 East, Richmond Hill) in Quarterly Ryder Cup format matches between both course players starting at 8 a.m. Sept. 20. Register to have your on-post garage sale location noted on a map of Post-Wide Housing Garage Sale sites at Stewart and Hunter from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 4. There is no charge. Only residents of post housing are eligible to sell, but everyone, including civilians in nearby communities, is invited to the neighborhood garage sale throughout Stewart and Hunter post housing areas.  Early registration is under way for The Rock Body Building & Figure Contest Nov. 1 at Woodruff Theater on Fort Stewart. Cost to register until Oct. 17 is $25. Cost to sign up after Oct. 17 is $35.
