STEWART ENERGY PLANT OUTAGES, Thursday & Nov. 10:
The Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield Directorate of Public Works conducts scheduled energy plant outage, noon-5 p.m., Thursday, and Nov. 10 at Fort Stewart. Buildings affected are buildings 212, 213, 215, 216, 218, 501, 503, 504, 514, 515, 516, 629, 630, 631, 632, 633, 634, 635, 636, 637, 712, 713, 714, 715, 717, 719, 720 and 810. The outages are necessary to repair and replace critical valves. These buildings will be without hot water for up to 3 days. For more information, contact Randy Parks at 912-767-1676.

DRM CLOSURE, Friday:

CLIENT SERVICES OFFICE CLOSED, Nov. 10, 11:

CYBER SECURITY CLASS FOR SOLDIERS & FAMILY MEMBERS, Nov. 12-14:
Second Regional Cyber Center-Western Hemisphere (2RCC-WH, formerly known as RCERT), will host a Cybersecurity Class for Families 1-2 p.m. and 6-7 p.m. Nov. 13 at Woodruff Theater on Fort Stewart. The class is to create awareness of home cyber security importance and Army tools available for personal use, safe home computing, social media, smart phone/tablet safety & security (PII). FALL HISTORIC SITE AND CEMETERY VISIT, Nov. 13: The semi-annual Fort Stewart Historic Communities Council meeting and Fall Cemetery visit is scheduled for Nov. 13 and will visit sites in Evans County. Stops include the former Glisson Pond S...tore, Durrence, Z.R. Moody, Salem, and Jerusalem Cemeteries. Space is limited so reservations are required. USA FORT STEWART MEDDAC 5K GLOW RUN/WALK, Nov. 14:
 Fort Stewart Medical Dept. Activity (MEDDAC) is hosting a 5k Glow Run/ Walk Nov. 14. Preregistration is open now. Event-day registration is from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and the event goes from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. It will be held at the Warrior Transition Battalion's courtyard at Niles Ave & E. 9th St. Entry  fees are $12 early registration, $15 same day registration (ages 12+), free entry for ages 11 and under. Glow sticks/accessories provided with registration with t-shirts for the first 25 adults to register. ACS INSTRUCTOR TRAINING, Nov. 19 and 20: 
ACS will offer Instructor Training 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 19 and 9 a.m. to Noon Nov. 20 at ACS, Bldg 87.  The course covers topics on how to be an effective instructor, platform skills, the adult learner, methods of instruction, and more.  Learn a new skill or brush up on one you already have.  Upon completion of this training you may be eligible to become an  Army Family Team Building Instructor.  The class requires both days.  Call Becky Sellars at 767-3863 for more. 

MARNE DIVISION BALL, Nov. 21:
Come celebrate the 3rd Infantry Division’s 97th Birthday at beautiful Jekyll Island.  The Division Ball is at the Jekyll Island Convention Center, Nov. 21 starting at 5:30 p.m.  Guests are given the option of a fine chicken or steak meal and a memento.  The evening also includes a guest speaker, dancing, and a photographer on site to commemorate the evening.  Tickets are available through your Brigade or Unit representatives and are available only to 3ID military, DA civilians, contractors & Gold Star Families. FOOD HANDLER'S CLASS, Nov. 24:
This class will be held at Winn ACH in the Patriot Auditorium from 9-10 a.m. FREE class, certification is good for one year. OPERATION HOMEFRONT HOLIDAY TOY DISTRIBUTION, Dec. 4:
To receive one free toy per child, Soldiers E1-E6 must register at www.operationhomefront.net. Distribution is Dec. 4 at Club Stewart from noon-6 p.m. Sponsors are Dollar Tree stores, Wal-Mart and Veterans United Foundation. Last year, this nationwide program distributed millions of toys. LARGE CALIBER RIFLE SHOOT, Nov. 15:
 Soldiers, Retirees, Army Civilians, and civilian guests have an opportunity to sight-in large caliber weapons Nov. 15 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Small Arms November Range on Fort Stewart. Targets provided and shooting benches available for use at each point. The cost is $5 per two-hour block/person. Directions to range: from Gulick Avenue, take 15th Street to McFarland. HUNTER TURKEY TROT FUN RUN, Nov. 15:
 Come out to the Turkey Trot Fun Run,  a free, non-competitive Family event where you can walk or run 5K or 1.5 miles. Everyone who runs or walks the race route will be eligible for the drawing of a gift certificate for a turkey. Only one turkey per family.  SKIES Unlimited will host Youth Basketball Clinics for 3rd-10th graders at the Fort Stewart Youth Center, (building  5655) from 2-5 p.m. Nov 16, 23, 30, and Dec 7 and 14. EMERALD PRINCESS CASINO CRUISE SHIP TRIP, Nov. 22:

ALL ARMY DIGITAL PHOTO CONTEST ENTRIES INVITED:
See how your photography skills compare with others Army-wide and here at Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield. Enter the 2014 All Army Digital Photo Contest online at arts.armymwr.com< https://apps.imcom.army.mil/apptracmain>   by Nov. 30. There is no charge. Photos submitted by Stewart/Hunter participants will be entered into a local contest through the Garrison, which will take place on Dec. 4. Local winners will receive certificates and advance to the All Army Competition. There are two major divisions: Active duty Soldiers and other eligible participants, including Family members, Retirees, and DA Civilians. 2014-2015 COMPANY-LEVEL BASKETBALL LEAGUE SIGN-UP BEGINS:
 Register by Nov. 21 for the Company-Level Basketball League season, which begins Dec. 8 and continues through March 2015 at Newman and Tominac fitness centers. Games played Monday through Thursday. EQUESTRIAN SALUTE TO VETERANS, Nov. 11:
There is an event being held by Faith Equestrian Therapeutic Center, which serves both children with disabilities and soldiers, in Springfield on Veteran's Day. There will be a showing of the documentary "Riding My Way Back", with finger food, silent auction and Q&A session about therapeutic services available to soldiers and in general. MARNE MESSAGE SUBMISSIONS:
The Marne Message submission email address is USARMY Fort Stewart ID List ALL Message Request (on the global) or typed as: usarmy.stewart.3-id.list.all-message-request@mail.mil. In order to keep the Marne Message timely and concise, limit submissions to 75 words or less. Do not use military times. Attachments cannot be included, but links to more online information can. Only official installation, MWR, or command directed messages are considered. Effective November 1, 2014, the Marne Message is only sent twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays. The deadline for the Monday Marne Message is COB Friday, and the deadline for the Thursday Marne Message is COB Wednesday.  All incoming requests for Marne Messages will still be posted to the Google Blogger (ref. Marne Messages).

Individuals wishing to get the Marne Message, who do not have a Fort Stewart - Hunter Military Email Account, can visit the 3rd Infantry Division on Facebook page at:  www.facebook.com/3rd.Infantry.Division  If you have a Fort Stewart - Hunter Military Email Account and don’t automatically get the Marne Message, you can request an account by sending an email to “USARMY Ft Stewart 3 ID Mailbox Marne Message” or usarmy.stewart.3-id.list.all-message-request@mail.mil. IF YOU HAVE PCS'D:
If you have moved and are no longer assigned to Fort Stewart or Hunter Army Airfield, follow these instructions to change your duty location. Go to Milconnect at https://www.dmdc.osd.mil/milconnect, login, select the "My profile" tab, select "Update and View My Profile", select the tab that corresponds to your current role in DoD (i.e. Mil, CIV, CTR, etc).  On the duty installation drop down menu select your correct duty location.  Your name will be removed from Marne Message distribution lists at the next scheduled update which is performed monthly.
