DENTAL APPOINTMENT AVAILABILITY FOR THE FSGA/HAAF DENTAL CLINICS DURING THE THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY:
All Dental Clinic's will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. On Friday Dental Clinic #1, Bldg 440 on Fort Stewart will be the only clinic open to provide limited Sick Call starting at 7:30 a.m. Dental Clinic #3 on Hunter will be closed Friday. If you or your Soldiers have a dental emergency over the Thanksgiving weekend, report to Winn Army Community Hospital Emergency Room and the Dentist on Duty will be called. Appointments may be scheduled or rescheduled through the DENTAC Single Access Line, (912) 435-6777.

ACS EFMP FACEBOOK FOCUS GROUP, Tuesday:
Your ACS EFMP staff will be answering any and all questions about EFMP Tuesday, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Facebook. We will be monitoring our Facebook page to maximize what EFMP can do for you. TRAINING RESOURCE CONFERENCE, Tuesday:
S-3's, Operations Sergeants Major, Master Gunners and Schools NCO's are reminded that the next monthly Training Resource Conference will be held Tuesday, 9:30am, at MOON THEATER. DFAC THANKSGIVING MEAL, Tuesday:
Soldiers, Family Members, and guests are invited to eat in the Dining Facilities for Thanksgiving at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield.  The Thanksgiving meal is Tuesday in the Legion (building 207), Raider (building 642), Thunder CafĂ© (building 3003), Vanguard (building 8439), HAAF Consolidated (building 110) and the Noncommissioned Officers Academy DFAC’s from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for $7.70 per person.  For additional information call (912) 767-8761.

LRC CLOSURE, Friday:
In observance of Thanksgiving, the Logistics Readiness Center will be closed on Friday.  This closure includes the Central Issue Facility, Subsistence Management Office, Laundry, Personal Property, Rail Marshalling Area, Freight, and Maintenance Operations of Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield. ACS CLOSURE, Friday:

REGISTRATION OFFICE CLOSURES, Friday:
The Registration (Vehicle) Registration Offices at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield, GA will be closed Friday. For more information, call 912-767-1883.

STEWART-HAAF DIRECTORATE OF HUMAN RESOURCES AND HOUSING SERVICES OFFICE CLOSURE, Friday:
DHR and HSO Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield offices will be closed Friday. Buildings affected on Fort Stewart include all offices belonging to the DHR and Housing Services Office (HSO) in building 253-Soldier Service Center; building 100-ACES; building 161 - FOIA/RHA/Pubs; building 201; 201A & 201C - ASAP; building 208- Mower Processing Center; building 418 - OMDC; building 621 - SFL-TAP;  Buildings affected on Hunter AAF include all offices belonging to the DHR in building 212-ASAP; building 1283-ASAP; building 1286-MPD; building 1287- HSO; building 1289-SFL-TAP; building 1290- ACES; building 1212 -OMDC. We will reopen for normal operations Dec. 1.

NOVEMBER/OTHER HEADLINES

GARRISON COMMANDER SUPERVISOR TRAINING-FS:
The Garrison Commander will conduct mandatory training for all Garrison Civilian Supervisors and those in uniform that supervise Garrison Civilians, AF and NAF Dec. 1 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. and Dec. 5 from 9-10 a.m. at the Main Post Chapel. A make-up session will be held Dec. 10 from 9-10 a.m. in the Garrison Conference Room, building 624. Sign-in begins 30 minutes prior to start time. IG OFFICE CLOSURE, Dec. 5:
The 3rd ID Office of the Inspector General will be closed on Dec. 5. WARRIOR TRANSITION BATTALION GOLF SCRAMBLE, Dec. 5:

RECYCLE INFORMATION:
In Fiscal Year 14, Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield together recycled 3,053,372 pounds of paper and 3,772,752 pounds of cardboard.  One way to reach our 50% mandated reduction goal is through recycling paper. Please be sure to place all paper in a clear plastic bag before placing it in a recycling container. DEADLINE NEAR FOR ALL ARMY DIGITAL PHOTO CONTEST ENTRIES, Sunday:
The deadline for entering the 2014 All Army Digital Photo Contest, Sunday, is near. See how your photography skills compare with others throughout the Army and here at Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield. Enter the contest online at arts.armymwr.com <https://apps.imcom.army.mil/apptracmain>.  There is no charge. Photos submitted by Stewart/Hunter participants will be entered into a local contest through the Garrison, which will be judged Dec. 4. Local winners will receive certificates and advance to the All Army Competition. There are two major divisions: Active duty Soldiers and other eligible participants, including Family members, Retirees, and DA Civilians. "TURKEY EGG HUNT" AT CORKAN, Dec. 1:
The turkeys who escaped the table have left some eggs in the area of Cypress Creek Adventure Golf, building 448. Kids (ages 0-5) are invited to come out Dec. 1, hunt for the missing eggs and have fun searching high and low. TREES FOR TROOPS DISTRIBUTION AT STEWART, Dec. 6:
Free, donated Christmas trees will be given to Active Duty Soldiers and Families on a first-come, first-served basis at Newman Fitness Center, building 439, starting at 9 a.m. Dec. 6, while supplies last. This is the ninth year that The Christmas Spirit Foundation and FedEx have partnered to provide the trees. Military ID card required. PLAY DAY WITH SANTA AT CORKAN, Dec. 6:
Santa is taking a break from his busy schedule to play with his fans before the big day. He will be at Stewart Bowling Center, building 450, from 1-3 p.m. and Corkan Family Fun Center, building 449, from 3:15-5 p.m. on Dec. 6. RED PIN BOWLING RETURNING AT STEWART BOWLING CENTER, Dec. 7 & 28:
Stewart Bowling Center, building 450, is bringing back its favorite game – Red Pin Bowling – on the first and last Sunday of each month. From 6-9 p.m. Dec. 7 and Dec. 28, when the red pin comes down in the number one position, notify a staff member and if you roll a strike and you win a free game of bowling. GnomeCon, a locally organized science fiction/fantasy and gaming convention, is slated for March 6-8, 2015 at the Coastal Georgia Center, 305 Fahm St, in the heart of downtown Savannah. This year’s guests include Katherine Kurtz and her husband Scott MacMillan. Kurtz is the author of the Deryni series of fantasy novels. MARNE MESSAGE SUBMISSIONS:
The Marne Message submission email address is USARMY Fort Stewart ID List ALL Message Request (on the global) or typed as: usarmy.stewart.3-id.list.all-message-request@mail.mil. In order to keep the Marne Message timely and concise, limit submissions to 75 words or less. Do not use military times. Attachments cannot be included, but links to more online information can. Only official installation, MWR, or command directed messages are considered. Effective November 1, 2014, the Marne Message is only sent twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays. The deadline for the Monday Marne Message is COB Friday, and the deadline for the Thursday Marne Message is COB Wednesday.  All incoming requests for Marne Messages will still be posted to the Google Blogger (ref. Marne Messages).

WANT TO GET MARNE MESSAGES?:

If you have moved and are no longer assigned to Fort Stewart or Hunter Army Airfield, follow these instructions to change your duty location. Go to Milconnect at https://www.dmdc.osd.mil/milconnect, login, select the "My profile" tab, select "Update and View My Profile", select the tab that corresponds to your current role in DoD (i.e. Mil, CIV, CTR, etc).  On the duty installation drop down menu select your correct duty location.  Your name will be removed from Marne Message distribution lists at the next scheduled update which is performed monthly.
