HAAF FIRE DEPARTMENT OPEN HOUSE, Saturday:
The Hunter Army Airfield Fire Department will be
conducting an open house event Saturday, at 01 Gannam Ave, Balfour Betty
housing office. The event will run from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Come out and enjoy free

Now that you have finished drinking the liquids (milk,
tea, juice, etc.) out of those 1-gallon milk jugs, don't throw them away! Save
them for a recycle project that the Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare
and Recreation will be creating AGAIN this year for the Christmas holiday
season. Your contribution goes toward making igloos and other seasonal
products. You have to see them to believe these awesome scenic display made
from your very own recycles! Drop your rinsed-out jugs off at the Fort Stewart
FMWR building 443 between the hours of 8 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday-Friday. For more

STEWART-HAAF RECYCLING POLICY, ongoing:
The FS/HAAF Recycling Center will only take personal
e-waste from those living on post. This includes computers, printers,
keyboards, telephones, DVD players, modems, etc. No government e-waste will be
accepted at the recycling center. Government e-waste shall be taken to Defense
Logistics Agency Disposal Services (formerly DRMO) with a completed 1348 form,
even if the item(s) is/are not on your property book. For those living off
post, please contact your local community recycling center for disposal information.

Fort Stewart-Hunter Airfield
holds the quarterly Facebook Town Hall Meeting at www.facebook.com/3rd.Infantry.Division,
3-4 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. The Facebook Town Hall provides an interactive
feedback venue. The Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield Garrison Command
Teams and their staffs will answer your questions divided into 9 threads. Community members will be invited to place
their question or comment into one of the nine following threads: Town Hall
Thread 1 - Chaplain question or comments; Town Hall Thread 2 - MEDDAC; Town
Hall Thread 3 - DENTAC; Town Hall Thread 4 - Public Works; Town Hall Thread 5 -
Safety and Emergency; Town Hall Thread 6 - Child care, Schools, FRGs or

FRG BROWN BAG, Monday:
ACS will be hosting another FRG Brownbag event Monday, 10
a.m.-noon in building 87. Meet other FRG members from units, discuss what
works, best practices and have some fun. The topic will be recruiting

DESIGNATED UNIT SECURITY MANAGERS COURSE AVAILABLE,
Tuesday-Oct. 24:
IAW FORSCOM Supplement 1 to 380-5, referencing Designated
Unit Security Managers, each battalion/activity is required to appoint a DUSM
on orders. The DPTMS Security Division SETA Branch conducts a 4 day Security
Managers Course (SMC) to prepare individuals to take on the role of DUSM. This
will include Information, Personnel, Industrial, Physical, Communication
Security, Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) and much more. The next course
is Tuesday-Oct. 24. Prospective DUSM must bring with them their DUSM
Appointment Letter. All 3rd ID individuals requiring training must contact Al

CPAC ADMIN TRAINING CLASS, Oct. 24:
The Fort Stewart Civilian Personnel Advisory Center will
be hosting an Administrative Training Class.
The class is designed to keep administrative Personnel and New Managers
abreast of new policies and procedures occurring within the HR community. The
training is 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24 at the SFC Paul R. Smith
Education Center, 100 Knowledge Drive Bldg 100 on Fort Stewart in the
auditorium.
The 33rd Annual College Graduation is 7 p.m. Nov. 14 at
the Main Post Chapel. The event is open to all Military, Family Members,
Retirees, and employees if you are within nine semester hours of completing
degree requirements or have earned a degree, certificate or diploma since Jan,

will include recruitment techniques, interviewing skills, orientation
requirements, record keeping, recognition, evaluation, dismissal, and position

MARNE DIVISION BALL:
Come celebrate the 3rd Infantry Division’s 97th Birthday at beautiful Jekyll Island. The Division Ball is at the Jekyll Island Convention Center on Friday, Nov. 21 starting at 5:30 p.m. Guests are given the option of a fine chicken or steak meal and a memento. The evening also includes a guest speaker, dancing, and a photographer on site to commemorate the evening. Ticket prices will be published soon with sales beginning in October. FORT STEWART FALL CARNIVAL, Today-Sunday:
Pay-as-you-go Carnival at Walker Field (adjacent to
Bennett Sports Complex) will be open today-Sunday. Adult and children’s rides,
plus food concessions and skill games. Hours of operation will be today 6-11
p.m., Saturday noon -11 p.m. and Sunday 1-11 p.m. Ride fees will range from 3-4
tickets per ride. Carnival-goers can save by purchasing tickets in quantity or
by purchasing arm bands for unlimited rides for the night. No weapons, pets,

‘DAWN OF THE ZOMBIES 5K RUN PACKET PICKUPS, Today,

Packets for the “Dawn of the Zombies 5K Run at Holbrook

Large rifle shoot, at the Small Arms November Range on

STEWART/HUNTER OPERATION RISING STAR CONTESTANT SIGN-UP:
Singers from Stewart/Hunter who want to compete in
Operation Rising Star have until Wednesday to sign up at either the Stewart
Recreation Office in room 125 of building 443, or at the Stewart or Hunter
Leisure Travel office. No charge to compete. Open to Active Duty, National
Guard or Reserve from any branch of service, or Family Members 18 years of age
or older. The three rounds of the local Operation Rising Star competition will
be in Thunder Run restaurant at Club Stewart, Oct. 23, Oct. 27 and Oct. 29.
First prize is $500, second $250 and third $100. Family Readiness Groups or
units are eligible to win the Spirit Award -- $300 toward their unit funds – or
other prizes, regardless of whether they have a competitor in the competition.

installation drop down menu select your correct duty location. Your name will be removed from Marne Message
distribution lists at the next scheduled update which is performed monthly
