Utility relocation work will take place near the
intersection of Bultman Avenue and Veterans Parkway today for the installation
of a new waterline. The roadway will
remain open, however traffic delays are expected. Please use extra caution in this area. The POC for this action is Mr. Matt Bolen (DPW

STEWART-HAAF RECYCLING POLICY, ongoing:
The FS/HAAF Recycling Center will only take personal
e-waste from those living on post. This includes computers, printers,
keyboards, telephones, DVD players, modems, etc. No government e-waste will be
accepted at the recycling center. Government e-waste shall be taken to Defense
Logistics Agency Disposal Services (formerly DRMO) with a completed 1348 form,
even if the item(s) is/are not on your property book. For those living off
post, please contact your local community recycling center for disposal

RED RIBBON WEEK AT DIAMOND ELEMENTARY, Oct. 31:
Diamond Elementary School has teamed up with the Fort
Stewart ASAP Program and Fort Stewart Fire Department to take a large aerial
photo of the Diamond Elementary Students dressed in red in the shape of a
ribbon on the large field at DES this coming Monday, Oct. 28 at 9 a.m. in
support of Red Ribbon Week and this year’s Drug Free Campaign, “Love Yourself
and Be Drug Free”. In addition, we will
be announcing and photographing poster contest winners at DES on Friday, Oct.

FS/HAAF CHAPELS ANNUAL FALL FESTIVAL, Oct. 31
The Fort
Stewart Main Post Chapel and the Hunter Army Airfield Chapel will hold their
Annual Fall Festival on Friday, 31 October 2014. The Fall Festival activities
will be held from 5:30 - 7:30 PM at FS Main Post Chapel, Bldg 500; and Hunter
Chapel, Bldg 145. In order to participate: ALL Children must be accompanied by
their Parent or Legal Guardian. There will be 100% Parent /Legal Guardian Photo
ID check. Everyone is invited to have a great time, enjoy food, fellowship, and
become acquainted with the many RSO services/activities through the chapel
programs, Religious Education and Worship Services. Prizes and candy will be
given out to the children while they play in a safe and secure environment. No

ACS will conduct Resiliency Training for Family Members,

CYBER SECURITY CLASS FOR SOLDIERS & FAMILY MEMBERS,
Nov. 12-14:
Second Regional Cyber Center-Western Hemisphere (2RCC-WH,
formerly known as RCERT), will host a Cybersecurity Class for Families 1-2 p.m.
and 6-7 p.m. Nov. 13 at Woodruff Theater on Fort Stewart. The class is to
create awareness of home cyber security importance and Army tools available for
personal use, safe home computing, social media, smart phone/tablet safety
& security (PII). Similar classes will also be made available to Soldiers
on Nov. 12 at Woodruff Theater, 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for 1ABCT and 188th Inf;
11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for 2ABCT and 3SB; at Moon Theater, 1-2:30 p.m. for DHHB,

MARNE DIVISION BALL, Nov. 21:
Come celebrate the 3rd Infantry Division’s 97th Birthday
at beautiful Jekyll Island. The Division
Ball is at the Jekyll Island Convention Center, Nov. 21 starting at 5:30
p.m. Guests are given the option of a
fine chicken or steak meal and a memento.
The evening also includes a guest speaker, dancing, and a photographer
on site to commemorate the evening.

are available only to 3ID military, DA civilians, contractors & Gold Star

RESILIENCY TRAINING V3:
ACS is excited to announce Version 3, a brand new version
of Resiliency Training for Family Members, Soldiers and Department of the Army
Civilians. This training is changing the
culture of our Soldiers and Families and DA Civilians by helping them gain the
confidence to change their thinking patterns, understand the power of positive
emotion and learn how all the resiliency skills can improve performance and

STEWART/HUNTER OPERATION RISING STAR COMPETITION
MONDAY,
WEDNESDAY NIGHTS:
The preliminary round is over, and the remaining singers
face their second round of competition at 7 p.m. Monday (Oct. 27) at Thunder
Run restaurant in Club Stewart. The final round will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday
(Oct. 29) at Thunder Run. First prize is $500, second $250 and third $100.
Family Readiness Groups or units are eligible to win the Spirit Award -- $300
toward their unit funds – or other prizes, regardless of whether they have a
competitor in the competition, by showing their support at both remaining
performances. There’s no charge to watch the competition to see who advances in

"THE ROCK" BODY BUILDING & FIGURE CONTEST,

The Rock Body Building & Figure Contest will be held
Nov. 1 at Woodruff Theater, building 410 on Fort Stewart. Weigh-in will be at 8

In order to keep the Marne Message timely and concise, limit submissions to 75
words or less. Do not use military times. Attachments cannot be included, but
links to more online information can. Only official installation, MWR, or
command directed messages are considered. Marne Messages are posted daily at www.stewart.army.mil, and www.facebook.com/3rd.Infantry.Division>.
MESSAGES HAVE A 3-DAY RUN LIMIT; you may, however, re-submit after 3rd day for
continuations. Please submit your messages by 9:45 a.m. daily for inclusion in
the same-day message.

If you have moved and are no longer assigned to Fort
Stewart or Hunter Army Airfield, follow these instructions to change your duty
location. Go to Milconnect at https://www.dmdc.osd.mil/milconnect,
login, select the "My profile" tab, select "Update and View My
Profile", select the tab that corresponds to your current role in DoD
(i.e. Mil, CIV, CTR, etc). On the duty
installation drop down menu select your correct duty location. Your name will be removed from Marne Message
distribution lists at the next scheduled update which is performed monthly.
NEW MARNE MESSAGE POLICY, begins Nov. 1:
Beginning Nov. 1 the Marne Message will only be sent
twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays.
The deadline for the Monday Marne Message will be COB Friday, and the
deadline for the Thursday Marne Message will be COB Wednesday. All incoming
requests for Marne Messages will still be posted to the Google Blogger,
http://marnemessage.blogspot.com/. The blogger link is posted on the bottom of
the Website at www.steweart.army.mil.
But we will continue to email the Marne Message twice weekly. Marne
Message submissions should still be made to: usarmy.stewart.3-id.list.all-message-request@mail.mil.
