Fort Stewart-Hunter Airfield holds the quarterly Facebook Town Hall Meeting at www.facebook.com/3rd.Infantry.Division, 3-4 p.m., today. The Facebook Town Hall provides an interactive feedback venue. STEWART PERSONAL PROPERTY OFFICE CLOSURE, Thursday:
The Fort Stewart Personal Property Shipping Office located in building 253 will be closed Thursday from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. for an official function.  Personnel with questions or requesting additional information may contact 767-8154 or 767-7971.

RED RIBBON WEEK, Thursday:
The Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield Army Substance Abuse Program (ASAP)  will kick off  this year’s Red Ribbon Campaign by handing out Red Ribbons at all entry gates to both FS and HAAF  Thursday between 8 a.m.-8:45 a.m. The ASAP will also host Ribbon Week Kickoff Presentation by Street Smart at Fort Stewart Woodruff Theater 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. and at Hunter Army Airfield 2-3 p.m. On-Post and Community schools will kick off “Love Yourself and Be Drug Free” poster contest and canned food drive to support Second Harvest Sign the Red Ribbon Pledge. AIR FORCE HAUNTED HOUSE, Friday:
The 15 ASOS is having a haunted house Friday and is open to anyone who would like to attend. The haunted house will be located at 164 W. Lowe Circle, on Wright Army Airfield, and open from 7-9 p.m. Not only will this be a great time for the family but it will help raise money for our Unit Advisory Council, which aides the families of deployed Airmen and manages squadron morale events. STEWART-HAAF RECYCLING POLICY, ongoing:
The FS/HAAF Recycling Center will only take personal e-waste from those living on post. This includes computers, printers, keyboards, telephones, DVD players, modems, etc. No government e-waste will be accepted at the recycling center. Government e-waste shall be taken to Defense Logistics Agency Disposal Services (formerly DRMO) with a completed 1348 form, even if the item(s) is/are not on your property book. For those living off post, please contact your local community recycling center for disposal information. For more information call 912-767-8880.

NEW MARNE MESSAGE POLICY, begins Nov. 1: 
Beginning Nov. 1 the Marne Message will only be sent twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays.  The deadline for the Monday Marne Message will be COB Friday, and the deadline for the Thursday Marne Message will be COB Wednesday. All incoming requests for Marne Messages will still be posted to the Google Blogger (ref. Marne Messages), but will be emailed only twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays.  Marne Message submissions should still be made to:

HAAF LAO CLOSURE, Monday & Tuesday:
The Hunter Army Airfield Legal Assistance office will be closed Monday & Tuesday. The office will re-open Oct. 29 at 8:30 a.m. For more information, call 912-315-6417.


STEWART SJA CLOSURE, Monday & Tuesday:
The Fort Stewart Office of the Staff Judge Advocate will be closed from 1 p.m. Monday through 5 p.m. Tuesday due to an official office function.  Offices, including Legal Assistance, will resume normal operating hours beginning 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 29.  For more information, please call (912) 767-8809/8819.

MONTHLY TRAINING RESOURCE CONFERENCE, Tuesday:
S-3's, Operations Sergeants Major, Master Gunners and Schools NCO's are reminded that the next monthly Training Resource Conference will be held Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. at MOON THEATER. STATE OF THE GARRISON, Tuesday & Oct. 31:
The Garrison workforce is invited to attend the Fort Stewart State of the Garrison workforce brief, Tuesday, 1-3 p.m., at the Main Post Chapel and the Hunter AAF State of the Garrison workforce brief, Oct. 31, 9-11 a.m., at the Hunter Chapel.  Please be sure to be seated 15-30 minutes prior to start of event.  This event will be your primary place of duty during this time. VMT CLASS, Oct. 29:
ACS Army Volunteer Corps is hosting a Volunteer Management Training Class, Oct. 29 from 9-11 a.m. at Hunter Army Airfield, building 1286, room 167.  The training will include recruitment techniques, interviewing skills, orientation requirements, record keeping, recognition, evaluation, dismissal, and position descriptions.  Please call 912-767-0248 or 767-1257 to register for the training.

HAAF TRICK OR TREAT SCHEDULE, Oct. 31:
The Hunter AAF military community will allow ghost and goblins (residents and guests) to participate in Halloween Trick-or-Treat throughout the installation and within the housing areas from 6–8 p.m., Oct. 31. For more information, call 912-315- 5617.


FS/HAAF CHAPEL FALL FESTIVAL, Oct. 31:
The Fort Stewart Main Post Chapel and the Hunter Army Airfield Chapel will hold their annual Fall Festival, Oct. 31. The FS Fall Festival will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the FS Main Post Chapel, Bldg 500; the HAAF Fall Festival will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Hunter Chapel Fellowship Hall, Bldg 145. Every Child must be accompanied by their parent or guardian at all times. The Military Community is invited to come out and have a great time, enjoy food, fellowship, and become acquainted with the many services/activities the Religious Support Office provides through the Chapel's Programs, Religious Education and Worship Services. Prizes and candy will be given out to the kids while they play in a safe and secure environment. BREAKING NEWS FOR RESILIENCY TRAINING, Nov. 3-6:
ACS will conduct Resiliency Training for Family Members, Soldiers, and DA Civilians 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 3-6, building 87. This is BRAND New material which our ACS Resiliency Instructors were required to be certified on. We need your help in getting the word out to our Community and Families. CYBER SECURITY CLASS FOR SOLDIERS & FAMILY MEMBERS, Nov. 12 & 13:
Second Regional Cyber Center-Western Hemisphere (2RCC-WH, formerly known as RCERT), will host a Cyber Security Class for Families 1-2 p.m. and 6-7 p.m. Nov. 13 at Woodruff Theater on Fort Stewart.  The class is to create awareness of home cyber security importance and Army tools available for personal use, safe home computing, social media, smart phone/tablet safety & security (PII).   Similar classes will also be made available to Soldiers 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Nov. 12 for 1ABCT and 188th Inf; 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for 2ABCT and 3SB; 1-2:30 p.m. for DHHB, 3ABCT, and 3CAB; 3-4:30 p.m. for 3IBCT, on Nov. 12 at Woodruff Theater. FINAL DAYS TO SIGN UP FOR STEWART/HUNTER OPERATION RISING STAR:  
Today is the final day for Stewart/Hunter singers who want to compete in Operation Rising Star to sign up at either the Stewart Recreation Office in room 125 of building 443, or at the Stewart or Hunter Leisure Travel office. No charge to compete. Open to Active Duty, National Guard or Reserve from any branch of service, or Family Members 18 years of age or older. The three rounds of the local Operation Rising Star competition will be in Thunder Run restaurant at Club Stewart. Round 1 will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Round 2 at 7 p.m. Monday, and Round 3 at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 29. First prize is $500, second $250 and third $100. Family Readiness Groups or units are eligible to win the Spirit Award -- $300 toward their unit funds – or other prizes, regardless of whether they have a competitor in the competition. CROSSFIT FORT STEWART WARRIOR CHALLENGE 2014, Saturday:
Registration will close Wednesday for the CrossFit Fort Stewart Warrior Challenge, scheduled Saturday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at Caro Fitness Center, building 708. In order to keep the Marne Message timely and concise, limit submissions to 75 words or less. Do not use military times. Attachments cannot be included, but links to more online information can. Only official installation, MWR, or command directed messages are considered. Marne Messages are posted daily at www.stewart.army.mil, and www.facebook.com/3rd.Infantry.Division>. MESSAGES HAVE A 3-DAY RUN LIMIT; you may, however, re-submit after 3rd day for continuations. Please submit your messages by 9:45 a.m. daily for inclusion in the same-day message.

If you have moved and are no longer assigned to Fort Stewart or Hunter Army Airfield, follow these instructions to change your duty location. Go to Milconnect at https://www.dmdc.osd.mil/milconnect, login, select the "My profile" tab, select "Update and View My Profile", select the tab that corresponds to your current role in DoD (i.e. Mil, CIV, CTR, etc).  On the duty installation drop down menu select your correct duty location.  Your name will be removed from Marne Message distribution lists at the next scheduled update which is performed monthly.
