TODAY THROUGH MONDAY



(Today): HUNTER GAS OUTAGE:
There will be a gas outage on Hunter Army Airfield, today until Noon. The outage should only affect the Hunter Club and the Commissary. The outage is necessary to install a new gas line in the construction of the addition to the Bingo Hall. POC for this construction effort is Jim Shurling at 912-320-0472.

(Friday) GARRISON COMMANDER SUPERVISOR TRAINING-STEWART:
The Garrison Commander will conduct mandatory training for all Garrison Civilian Supervisors and those in uniform that supervise Garrison Civilians, AF and NAF on Friday from 9-10 a.m., March 14  from 1-2 p.m. and March 21 from 1-2 p.m. at the Fort Stewart Education Center Auditorium. Sign-in begins 30 minutes prior to start time. All supervisors are required to attend.  Do not bring food or beverages, except water. (Saturday) MEGA SUPER BINGO AT STEWART/HUNTER:
Win big, with an overall jackpot of $15,000, at Super Mega Bingo at Stewart/Hunter on Saturday. Doors open at 2 p.m. for VIP customers and the program starts at 6 p.m. Many chances to win. Every customer, after minimum buy, gets a pack of free games (one per person) until 4 p.m. Free games start at approximately 4 p.m. Warmup packs, at $25 each, will be sold at the door until 4:30 p.m., when the packs will be played. (Saturday) LIVE UFC PAY PER VIEW EVENT AT CLUB STEWART:
UFC star Conor McGregor will battle Nate Diaz, a brawler described as one of the UFC’s most popular fighters in his weight class, in a live Pay Per View event Saturday at Club Stewart. Doors open at 8:30 p.m. Also on the card is Holly Holm, defending her bantamweight title against Miesha Tate in her first fight since winning the crown against Ronda Rousey. Diaz stepped in after light heavyweight champion Rafael dos Anjos pulled out with a foot injury. Attendees, who must be 18 or older, will be admitted free, courtesy of Mike Reed Chevrolet. Complimentary round-trip transportation will be provided to the free, live UFC Pay Per View event at Club Stewart on Saturday. UFC star Conor McGregor will battle Nate Diaz. (Saturday) SHAMROCK FAMILY FUN RUN:
The Shamrock Family Fun Run will be held Saturday at Hunter. Registration accepted on-site until 9:30 a.m. for the free, non-competitive 5K/1.5-mile walk. It begins at 10 a.m. at North Perimeter Road and Stephen Douglas Street. Be one of the first 100 to register and complete the race to receive a T-shirt. Kids under the age of 13 will receive medals. (Saturday) SMALL WORLD FESTIVAL DOWNTOWN HINESVILLE:
Taste a variety of foods and soak up the color, pageantry and culture of other countries at the 2016 Small World Festival from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at Bryant Commons in downtown Hinesville. The festival’s International Food Court will serve authentic cuisine ranging from snacks and sweets to full meals. BOSS Soldiers will showcase food from different cultures and ethnicities. Entertainment includes local cultural and ethnic performances, live music, children’s activities and a car show. Festival activities will be preceded by the first annual Colors of the World 5K benefiting First Presbyterian Christian Academy.

(Monday) REGISTRATION FOR CHATHAM COUNTY PRE-K LOTTERY DRAWING:
Registration will be open Monday-April 6 for the free, Georgia-funded CYSS Pre-Kindergarten Program at Hunter CDC building 8807. The drawing will be April 7. Students must be four years of age on or before Sept. 1, 2016. No exceptions will be made. (Monday) SPRING AND SUMMER MONDAY BLITZ BEGINS AT TAYLORS CREEK:
Play more golf for less money by taking advantage of the Monday Blitz, which returns to Taylors Creek Golf Course at 4 p.m. Monday and continues each Monday through May. (March 2016) TAYLORS CREEK GOLF SHOP OPEN DURING RENOVATION WORK:
The walls of the Golf Shop at Taylors Creek Golf Course are being stripped, skimmed and painted to improve the shop's décor. The shop will remain open during the work, which is expected to continue through much of March. During this time, the selection in the Pro Shop and Snack Area will be somewhat limited. (March 2016) FORT STEWART DINING FACILITY OPERATING HOURS:
The Fort Stewart and HAAF Dining Facilities cordially invite DA Civilians and Family Members to dine with us.  Thunder Café (building 3003, 1600 W. 6th Street), Marne Bistro (building 726, 1902 William H. The Fort Stewart and HAAF Dining Facilities cordially invite DA Civilians and Family Members to dine with us.  Dining Facilities open for Weekend/Holiday meals are Thunder Café and Spartan DFACs.  Spartan DFAC will be closed after the lunch meal March 18 and will reopen March 21.  Designated Weekend and Holiday Meal DFACs begin with the supper meal on Friday (for the training holiday March 17 designated DFAC begins with supper March  16; for the training holiday March 25-27, designated DFACs begins with supper March 24).  Hours are Brunch 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Supper 5-6:30 p.m.

The Fort Stewart Weekday Meal hours for Breakfast are; Thunder Café 8-9:30 a.m.; Marne Bistro 7:45-9:15 a.m.; and Spartan 8-9:30 a.m. Weekday lunch hours are 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.; and Dinner 5-6:30 p.m. for all DFACs. Thursday Lunch and Dinner meal hours for all DFACs are Lunch from Noon to 1:30 p.m.; and Dinner from 5-6:30 p.m.; Friday Dinner Meal hours are 4-5:30 p.m.

(March 2016) HAAF CONSOLIDATED DINING FACILITY OPERATING HOURS:
The Fort Stewart and HAAF Dining Facilities cordially invite DA Civilians and Family Members to dine with us.   HAAF Consolidated DFAC (Bldg 110, 89 William Barksdale Cir) Weekday Meal Hours are Breakfast 8-9:30 a.m.; Lunch 12-1:30 p.m.; and Dinner 5-6:30 p.m. Weekend and Holiday Meal Hours are Brunch 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m.; and Supper 5-6:30 p.m.

(Ongoing) SURVIVOR OUTREACH SERVICES “BATTLE BUDDIES”:
Survivor Outreach Services has developed the Battle Buddy program designed for Soldiers, former Soldiers come talk to "friends". (Ongoing) BULK F24 INFORMATION:
Units that receive Bulk F24 at the installation bulk fuel facility will mark fixed storage and refueling equipment as F24.  Refueling equipment will need to be marked prior to picking up bulk fuel.  This new procedure is in accordance with ALARACT:  Army conversion from JP8 to Jet A (Jet Fuel F-24) in CONUS and Fuel Technical Letter 12-02 (Change 2), CONUS Supply Chain Conversion from JP8 to Jet A with Military Additives.  For additional information, contact Ms. Sylvia Whitfield at 912-435-0146.
