(Tuesday) FOREIGN BORN SPOUSE MEETING:
Fort Stewart and Hunter foreign-born spouses are invited to attend this month’s Foreign-born Spouse Program meeting Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Ft. Stewart’s Army Community Service (ACS), building 86.  This month we will be hosting a Cooking Workshop, so come, meet other foreign-born spouses, and learn some tips on healthy cooking!  For more information, please call (912) 767-5058.

(Thursday) LEGAL ASSISTANCE OFFICE REDUCED SERVICES:
The Legal Assistance Office will be open for reduced services only on Thursday.  Individuals may obtain Powers of Attorney and notary services, but will not be able to schedule appointments or meet with attorneys Thursday. As a reminder, Legal Assistance Office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9-11:30 a.m., 1-4:30 p.m. and Thursday from 1-4:30 p.m.  Also, Soldiers can obtain Powers of Attorney and Ad Valorem at their respective Brigade Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:30-11:30 a.m., 1-5 p.m.

(Thursday) TRIAL DEFENSE OFFICE CLOSURE:

The Garrison Commander will conduct mandatory training for all Garrison Civilian Supervisors and those in uniform that supervise Garrison Civilians, AF and NAF March 14  from 1-2 p.m. and March 21 from 1-2 p.m. at the Fort Stewart Education Center Auditorium. (March 15) MCSC SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINE:
The Marne Community and Spouses Club (MCSC) Scholarship Fund falls under the support of the Marne Community and Spouses Club to provide merit based scholarships for eligible military family members. Visit the website www.marnecommunityclub.com to check eligibility and to download an application.

(March 21 & 22) PHYSCIAN ASSISTANT RECRUITING BRIEF:
Do YOU want to become a Medical Officer? The 65D Physician Assistant Program Manager for the Regular Army, Major Scott Bradshaw, visits Fort Stewart to conduct an AMEDD commissioning programs brief for Military Service Members, at 9 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., March 21 and 22 at the SFC Paul R. Smith Education Center, 100 Knowledge Drive, Room 247.  The educational opportunities discussed will include:  Inter-service Physician Assistant Program, AMEDD Enlisted Commissioning Program, Health Professional Scholarship Program, Physical Therapy Baylor Program, Masters of Social Work, and the Medical Service Corps. (March 23) ACS RESILIENCE TRAINING:
Join the trainers at ACS as we conduct another Resilience Skill.  On March 23, learn about Activating Events, Thoughts and Consequences (ATC) and how they drive how we feel.  Learn the importance of Hunting the Good Stuff and how to counter the negativity bias, create positive emotion and notice what is really good.  This training is also opened to Department of the Army Civilians.  Call (912) 767-1257/4047/1597 to register.  Registration also available on the Team Stewart website, ACS page.

(March 28) LRC WAREHOUSE INVENTORY RESCHEDULED:
The Fort Stewart Logistics Readiness Center, Supply and Services Division, Supply Support Activity Warehouse inventory has been rescheduled for March 28-April 1. During this time the Logistics Readiness Center will process high priority requisitions (walk-ups) approved by the G-8, and will accept turn-ins. The turn in section will sign for turn-ins that are directed to the Logistics Readiness Center and will not be processed in GCSS-Army until the inventory is completed.  For additional information individuals may call 912-435-0321.
 
(March 30) SMOKING CESSATION CLASS:
Plan to attend the tobacco cessation class March 30 if you are thinking of quitting cigarettes, chew tobacco or have recently quit and want to maintain. Classes will be 8:30-10 a.m. at the Army Wellness Clinic, building 442 on Fort Stewart and 1-2 p.m. in the computer room at Tuttle Clinic on Hunter Army Airfield. Tax Day is April 18th, so come and get your taxes (Federal and State) prepared and e-filed for FREE at the Marne Tax Center. Services available for Active Duty Soldiers, Active Duty Retirees, and their Family Members. Hours of operations are Monday/Tuesday, 8:45 a.m.-4:15 p.m.; Wednesdays, 8:45 a.m.-7:15 p.m.; Thursdays, Noon-4:15 p.m.; and Fridays, 8:45 a.m.-2:15 p.m. Walk-ins and Appointments welcomed. (May 6): SPRING SPECIAL OLYMPICS:
Volunteers are needed for the 2016 Spring Special Olympics. The event will be held May 6, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Liberty County Recreation Department, 607 Oglethorpe Hwy., Hinesville, GA. (Wednesdays) BIBLE STUDY AT MARNE CHAPEL:
Bible Study/discussion will be offered Noon every Wednesday at Marne Chapel. Have you ever wondered how God has woven His Plan of the Ages throughout the pages of The Bible? From Genesis to Revelation this "Panorama" view of Scripture will open your Eyes and ears to God's Word in a unique and exciting way. (Ongoing) SURVIVOR OUTREACH SERVICES “BATTLE BUDDIES”:
Survivor Outreach Services has developed the Battle Buddy program designed for Soldiers, former Soldiers come talk to "friends". This is a powerful event that will allow "battle buddies" who have lost a friends, to express their grief, share stories and could eventually lead to healing and growth.  If interested, please call (912) 435-9598.

(Ongoing) BULK F24 INFORMATION:
Units that receive Bulk F24 at the installation bulk fuel facility will mark fixed storage and refueling equipment as F24.  Refueling equipment will need to be marked prior to picking up bulk fuel.  This new procedure is in accordance with ALARACT:  Army conversion from JP8 to Jet A (Jet Fuel F-24) in CONUS and Fuel Technical Letter 12-02 (Change 2), CONUS Supply Chain Conversion from JP8 to Jet A with Military Additives.  For additional information, contact Ms. Sylvia Whitfield at 912-435-0146.

Safety When Passing Troop's. Drivers use extreme caution. (March 2016) TAYLORS CREEK GOLF SHOP OPEN DURING RENOVATION WORK:
The walls of the Golf Shop at Taylors Creek Golf Course are being stripped, skimmed and painted to improve the shop's décor. The shop will remain open during the work, which is expected to continue through much of March. During this time, the selection in the Pro Shop and Snack Area will be somewhat limited. Opportunity for Soldiers, Retirees, Army Civilians, and civilian guests to sight in large caliber weapons (registered at Fort Stewart) from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday (March 12) at Red Cloud Range Complex (off GA Highway 119 North). (Saturday) THE ROCK BENCH PRESS AND POWERLIFTING COMPETITION AT STEWART:
T-shirts will be issued to each paying contestant in The Rock Bench Press and Powerlifting Competition at Newman Fitness Center on Saturday (March 12). Open competition has male and female weight classes, with awards presented to top three bench press and power lifters. Lifters must be at least 16 years old to participate. (March 19) MARNE TRAIL BASS TOURNAMENT AT GLISSON MILLS POND: 
The first of five catch-and-release Marne Trail Bass Tournaments will be held at 6:30 a.m. March 19 at Glisson Mills Pond on Fort Stewart. Cash prizes are $250 for first place (total weight, five-fish maximum per person) and $100 for the largest bass. Door prizes awarded after weigh-in at 11 a.m. Register at Stewart/Hunter Pass & Permit offices. For fees and other details, call 912-435-8061 at Stewart or 912-315-5163 at Hunter.
