TODAY THROUGH MONDAY:



(Today) LEGAL ASSISTANCE OFFICE REDUCED SERVICES:
The Legal Assistance Office will be open for reduced services today. Individuals may obtain Powers of Attorney and notary services, but will not be able to schedule appointments or meet with attorneys today. As a reminder, Legal Assistance Office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9-11:30 a.m., 1-4:30 p.m. and Thursday from 1-4:30 p.m.  Also, Soldiers can obtain Powers of Attorney and Ad Valorem at their respective Brigade Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:30-11:30 a.m., 1-5 p.m.

(Today) TRIAL DEFENSE OFFICE CLOSURE:
The TDS offices on Ft. Stewart and HAAF will be closed today for training purposes. For more information, call 912-767-4398.

(Today) KIDS GOLF CLINIC AT STEWART: 
Youth (ages 7-17) are invited to learn basics of golf free at the Taylors Creek Golf Course driving range from 4-5 p.m. today. For more information, call 912-767-2370.

(Friday) PARENTS NIGHT OUT AT STEWART:
Let the staff at Stewart School Age Center, building 7160 on Austin Road take care of your children while you enjoy an evening out from 6-10 p.m. Friday (March 11). Activities, snacks and entertainment will be provided for kids in grades 1-5. Cost is $15 for SAC members and $20 for non-members. Non-members can sign up online at WebTrac. The MP Regimental Association March Madness Softball Tournaments Friday-Saturday at the Fort Stewart Bennett Sports Complex. (Saturday) THE ROCK BENCH PRESS AND POWERLIFTING COMPETITION AT STEWART:
T-shirts will be issued to each paying contestant in The Rock Bench Press and Powerlifting Competition at Newman Fitness Center on Saturday (March 12). Open competition has male and female weight classes, with awards presented to top three bench press and power lifters. Lifters must be at least 16 years old to participate. Cost is $30 per contestant. Register by day of event. Weigh-in is at 8:30 a.m. and the competition begins at 10 a.m. For more information, call 912-767-3031.

(Saturday) ST. PATRICK’S DAY GOLF SCRAMBLE AT STEWART:
Start your St. Patrick’s Day celebration early by playing in the two-person scramble at Taylors Creek Golf Course on Saturday (March 12). Play begins at 9 a.m. The cost of $35 per person includes cart, greens fee, range balls and prizes. For more information, call 912-767-2370.

(Saturday) LONG RANGE SHOOT:

Opportunity for Soldiers, Retirees, Army Civilians, and civilian guests to sight in large caliber weapons (registered at Fort Stewart) from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday (March 12) at Red Cloud Range Complex (off GA Highway 119 North). Rifles of any caliber. No pistols or shotguns. Targets at 100-500 meters (paper) and 750-1,000 meters (steel). Cost is $15 per two-hour block/person. Please bring correct cash amount to range. Don't be late Monday! Daylight Savings Times goes into effect at 2 a.m., Sunday. So remember to set your clock's AHEAD one hour at 2 a.m. Sunday morning...or at least before you go to bed Saturday night!

The Garrison Commander will conduct mandatory training for all Garrison Civilian Supervisors and those in uniform that supervise Garrison Civilians, AF and NAF Monday from 1-2 p.m. and March 21 from 1-2 p.m. at the Fort Stewart Education Center Auditorium. Sign-in begins 30 minutes prior to start time. All supervisors are required to attend.  Do not bring food or beverages, except water. Survivor Outreach Services has developed the Battle Buddy program designed for Soldiers, former Soldiers come talk to "friends". (Ongoing) BULK F24 INFORMATION:
Units that receive Bulk F24 at the installation bulk fuel facility will mark fixed storage and refueling equipment as F24.  Refueling equipment will need to be marked prior to picking up bulk fuel.  This new procedure is in accordance with ALARACT:  Army conversion from JP8 to Jet A (Jet Fuel F-24) in CONUS and Fuel Technical Letter 12-02 (Change 2), CONUS Supply Chain Conversion from JP8 to Jet A with Military Additives.  For additional information, contact Ms. Sylvia Whitfield at 912-435-0146.

(March 2016) TAYLORS CREEK GOLF SHOP OPEN DURING RENOVATION WORK:
The walls of the Golf Shop at Taylors Creek Golf Course are being stripped, skimmed and painted to improve the shop's décor. The shop will remain open during the work, which is expected to continue through much of March. During this time, the selection in the Pro Shop and Snack Area will be somewhat limited.
