TANK TRAILS OFF LIMITS TO POV's:
All numbered and lettered tank trails are off limits to privately owned vehicles unless they have a valid MWR POV pass or have been an approved memo from the G3. Anyone using those tank trails to bypass the traffic waiting for the light at GA 144E in the morning before PT are in violation of a regulation and can be charged. FOOD HANDLER'S CLASS, Today:
This FREE class will be held today at Winn ACH in the Patriot Auditorium from 1-2 p.m. Certification is good for one year. To register for this class, please submit your first and last name to usarmy.stewart.medcom-winn.list.environmental-health-services@mail.mil. Pre-registration is a REQUIREMENT in order to attend this class, and you must be on time, no-walk-ins are permitted.  This class is mandated for all those dealing with food items on FSGA/HAAF (Unit functions, Organizational Days, FRG Events). MOS 25D (CYBER NETWORK DEFENDER) INFORMATIONAL BRIEF, Today & Wednesday:
The Office of the Chief of Signal Enlisted Division will visit Fort Stewart to provide a 25D Informational brief today and Wednesday. The briefing is open to all Soldiers regardless of rank or MOS.  This brief is to ensure current/correct 25D Information is being provided to the field and to assist in the recruitment efforts for 25D.  Briefers will stay behind for individual questions and initial review of ERBs if needed.  Briefings are today from at 1-3 p.m. and Wednesday from 9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. at Woodruff Theater. STEWART DRIVE-THRU FLU, Wednesday & Thursday:
The 8th Annual Fort Stewart Drive-Thru Flu Clinic is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m., both days in the Winn Army Community Hospital overflow parking lot, which is located next to the Bennett Sports Complex at the corner of 6th Street and Harmon Ave on Fort Stewart. HAAF PWOC FREE MARKET, Thursday:
The Hunter Chapel Protestant Women of the Chapel is hosting an indoor FREE market Thursday from 10 a.m.-noon at the Hunter Army Airfield Chapel Fellowship Hall. DHR TEMPORARY CLOSURE, Thursday:
All DHR facilities at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield will be closed for Organization Day activities, Thursday. Facilities affected at Fort Stewart include DHR offices in buildings 253, 100, 161, 418, 201, 621 and 526.   Hunter Army Airfield facilities include DHR offices in buildings 1212, 1286, 1290, and 1289.   All DHR services will resume regular business hours on Oct. 16. HUNTER FIRE WARDEN CLASS, Thursday:
The next HAAF fire warden’s class will be held Thursday Oct 15 at 9 a.m. in Building 1128. All attendees are asked to bring a unit appointment letter stating they are the assigned fire warden for their unit/location with building number identified. For more information please call 315-2009

HUNTER ROAD TEMPORARY CLOSURE DURING MEMORIAL EVENT, effective Friday:
North Lightning Rd. from Nightstalker Way to the north end of 2/3 AVN Hangar, located on Hunter will temporarily close to vehicular traffic 6:30-noon on Friday to allow 3/160th SOAR(A) to conduct a Memorial Event and Building Dedication. There will be a temporary bypass through the Coast Guard Station parking lot from 6:30-9:45 a.m. and 11 a.m.-noon. The road closure will affect traffic traveling on N. RECYCLING DRIVE-THRU, Oct. 21, 22:
In support of the Annual Fall Cleanup, the DPW Environmental Recycling Program is holding a Drive-Thru recyclable collection. Each collection will have stations for small scrap metal items, electronics (no TVs above 19”), Hazardous Waste, Used Cooking Oil, and Paper/PII documents for shredding. The Hunter Army Airfield collection will be held Oct. 21 from 9 a.m-2 p.m. in the parking lot on the corner of Duncan Dr. and Billy Mitchell Blvd. The Fort Stewart collection will be held Oct. 22 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in the parking lot adjacent to Bennett Sports Complex on Harmon Ave. For more information please call 912-767-6573/1234.

STATE OF THE GARRISON SCHEDULED, Oct. 22 & 23:
The Fort Stewart State of the Garrison is scheduled for Oct. 22, 10 a.m.-noon in the Club Stewart Ballroom. The Hunter AAF State of the Garrison is scheduled for Oct. 23, 1-3 p.m. in the Hunter Chapel. The State of the Garrison is a bi-annual event to share information with the workforce. This will be the first for COL Townley Hedrick.  Topics will include:  Civilian Fitness Program, Garrison Workforce Training and Education.  These forums are open to all Garrison employees.  All DA civilians (AF/NAF), contractors and tenant organizations are encouraged to attend.  This will be your official place of duty. FIELD SANITATION TEAM TRAINING PLANNED, Monday-October 23:

SCHEDULED ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT & ASSISTANCE INSPECTION, Oct. 26-30:
An Environmental Performance Assessment & Assistance System (EPAAS) inspection will be conducted Oct. 26-30. The objective of the EPAAS is to identify non-compliance with environmental regulations and non-conformance with the International Organization for Standardization’s (ISO) 14001 standard used for our Sustainability Management System (SMS).  Please remember: The FS/HAAF Sustainability Policy is R-O-C-K: Each letter in the word ROCK is an established commitment to sustaining the mission of the Installation without compromising the quality of life for military Families or the environment. STEWART TRUNK TREAT EVENT, Oct. 29:
Put on your most creative spooky costume, bring your treat bags and join in for a good time. Each decorated car will have a trunk full of surprises just waiting for the ghouls and goblins to stop by from 6-8 p.m. at Donovan Field on Fort Stewart. FALL HISTORIC CEMETERY VISIT, Nov. 4:
Community members are invited to join Fort Stewart for the Fall Historic Communities Council meeting and Cemetery visit, Nov. 4. We will visit the former community of Willie, Georgia and stop at Willie Crossroads, Warnell, Gaulden, and Bethany Cemeteries. SPECIALIZED TRANSITIONING EVENT PLANNED, Nov. 5:
The Soldier & Family Assistance Center is scheduled to host Growth, Progression and Strength event from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Fort Stewart Education Center, building  Bldg. 100. The target audience for the event includes Warrior Transition Battalion Soldiers, their family members and caregivers. A limited number of free tickets are available for the Georgia Southern Eagles football game Saturday against the New Mexico State Aggies at Paulson Stadium in Statesboro. WIN WEEKLY, WIN BIG WITH THE ‘GRIDIRON CHALLENGE’, Fridays:

YOUTH SPORTS BASKETBALL COACHES NEEDED, CLINICS SCHEDULED, Saturday and Oct 25:
Youth Sports is in need of basketball coaches for the 2015-2016 season and has scheduled two clinics to help them prepare for this fun, motivating, challenging, rewarding experience of making a difference. Clinics are scheduled from 9 a.m. until noon on Saturday and from 1-4 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Youth Sports and Fitness Center, building 7338.
