McNEELY ROAD TRAFFIC ALERT, through Friday:
A traffic alert has been made for McNeely Road Traffic Alert due to utility relocation work that will take place near the intersection of McNeely Road and Hero Road from Feb 2-6.   Both inbound and outbound lanes will be impacted on a small portion of McNeely road.  Motorists are advised to use extra caution in this area.  The POC for this action is Mr. Matt Bolen (DPW Project Manager) at 912-767-7898.             
   
ARMY NURSE CORPS BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION Friday:
The Army Nurse Corps 114th Birthday Celebration is being held on Feb. 6 at 2 p.m. in the Patriot Auditorium at Fort Stewart's Winn Army Community Hospital.  Guest speaker is Winn's Deputy Commander of Nursing, Colonel Robin M. Adams-Massenburg. Refreshments will be served. All Army Nurse Corps Officers in the facility, and those who are retired and formerly served are invited.  Light refreshments provided.

COMMISSARY OFFERS FREE LUNCHES, Sunday:

MILITARY JOB FAIR ON FORT STEWART, Feb. 10:
Sixty military-friendly companies will be present to interview and hire military talent at the CivilianJobs.com Military Job Fair on Fort Stewart from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Club Stewart.  The event is sponsored by the Fort Stewart Soldier For Life Transition Assistance Program.  Agencies include New York Life Insurance, Toyota Forklifts of Atlanta, Vinnell Arabia, Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department and Aetna Inc. AFRICAN AMERICAN/BLACK HISTORY OBSERVED, Feb. 11:

COMMUNITY NEEDS ASSESSMENT SURVEY, now open: 
The 2015 Community Needs Assessment Survey (CNAS) is open!  All community members, including Soldiers, Family Members, DA Civilians, Contractors, and Retirees are encouraged to take the survey.  The CNAS can be found at http://tinyurl.com/CNAS2015 .  All survey answers are anonymous and the results are used to determine ways to improve the Fort Stewart and HAAF communities.  For more information, contact Division Health Promotion at 435-9959 or 435-0875. 

CONTROLLED BURNING, ongoing:
Fort Stewart's Forestry Branch is in the midst of a controlled burn season and will be conducting controlled burns at various locations on the Installation each week. TAX CENTERS ARE OPEN, through Apr. 30:
The Marne Tax Centers at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield are open through Apr. 30. Tax Preparers are available to assist Solders, Family Members, and Retirees from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mon-Wed & Fri, 11 a.m. to 4 pm Thursday. Full service assistance for walk-in or drop-off returns. Please bring military IDs and Social Security Cards, all statements of income (i.e., W-2 forms and 1099 forms), rental property documents, mortgage interest statements, etc. For more information, please call the Fort Stewart Tax Center at (912) 767-1040 or the Hunter Army Airfield Tax Center at (912) 315-3675. VET CLINIC CLOSED, Feb. 16:
The Veterinary Clinic will be closed Feb. 16 for President's Day, and is closed for all federal holidays.  In addition, the clinic closes early the last day of the month for inventory. If you are looking for a lost pet please check with us, as Animal Control brings stray and loose pets to the facility.  The hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesday from 9 a.m. 3 p.m. For more information, call 435-7387.

VEHICLE REGISTRATION OFFICE HOUR CHANGES:
Effective Feb. 17 the operational hours for the FS and HAAF Vehicle Registration Offices will change to 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

ACS REAR DETACHMENT LEADER TRAINING, Feb. 18-19:

MONTHLY TOBACCO CESSATION CLASSES, begin Feb. 25:
Army Public Health Nursing in conjunction with the Army Wellness Center will conduct monthly tobacco cessation classes, beginning Feb. 25, 9 to 10 a.m. at the Army Wellness Center located at 844 Gulick Ave.
Fort Stewart.  Classes will provide tools on how to become tobacco free and how to stay tobacco free if you have already quit.  Open to all Active Duty, Retirees, Military Beneficiaries and DoD Civilians (MEDDAC, DENTAC, & VETCOM only). NEW HEARING CONSERVATION HOURS, effective March 2:  
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday:  10:30 a.m. to noon (Unit testing); 1 to 4 p.m. (Unit testing)
Wednesday:  10:30 a.m. to noon (Unit testing); 1 to 4 p.m. (Walk In)
Friday: 10:30 a.m. to noon (Unit testing); 1 to 4 p.m. (Follow-ups) All units testing MUST have an appointed HPO present during scheduled timeframe. RED CROSS SPAGHETTI DINNER, Mar. 6:
Get Carb loaded and ready for the Run for Red 5K at the Red Cross Spaghetti Dinner, Friday, Mar. 6, from 5:30 to 8 p.m., at Victory Chapel, Bldg. 2125, 374 Warrior Rd.  Invite your supporters, and pre-register for the 5K.  
The event is planned and executed together with Club Beyond, which will receive the proceeds of the event. RUN FOR RED 5K, Mar. 7:
Registration for the run will be open until 7:30 a.m. Runners can check in until shortly before the start.  The run starts at 9 a.m. Top finishers will receive a medal in their age group. Refreshments are available for all participants. This is a Red Cross event supported by Club Beyond. All proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross.  Call 912-767-2197 for more information.

STATE OF THE GARRISON, Apr. 14 and Apr. 16:
Col. Kevin Gregory, US Army Garrison Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield Garrison Commander, will conduct the bi-annual Fort Stewart State of the Garrison, Tues. Apr. 14, 1 to 3 p.m., at the Main Post Chapel.  Lt. Col. Will Bowman, Garrison Commander, Hunter Army Airfield, will conduct the Hunter State of the Garrison Thurs., Apr. 16, 1 to 3 p.m., at the Hunter Chapel.  Topics include IMCOM CG priorities, Leadership change, Things We Are Proud Of, What's Next, Resources, and Awards.  The State of the Garrison is a bi-annual event to share information with the workforce, and are open to all Garrison employees.

STEWART/HUNTER SKIESUNLIMITED OFFERS DANCE CLASSES:
Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield CYSS SKIESUnlimited program is now offering dance classes for ballet, tap/jazz, contemporary and hip hop. The number of slots available is limited. Classes are $45 per month and begin this month (February).  Pre-dance is offered for ages 2-4. 8 FOR 8 BOWLOPOLIS BOWLING LEAGUE AT STEWART BOWLING CENTER, Saturday (Feb. 7):
The 8 for 8 Bowlopolis Bowling League at Stewart Bowling Center, building 450, is open to everyone who wants to learn to bowl. Participants bowl two games on Saturday mornings, from 10 a.m. until noon starting Saturday (Feb. 7). At the end of program on March 28, participants receive their own bowling ball. LARGE CALIBER RIFLE SHOOT, Saturday (Feb. 7) and March 7:
Large caliber rifle shoots are scheduled for Saturday (Feb. 7) and March 7 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at SA November range. The cost is $5 for a two-hour block. Targets provided and shooting benches placed for use at each point. All Weapons must be re-registered on the installation to fire at this range. Register weapons at Pass & Permit from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Directions to range: Off Gulick, take 15th Street to McFarland. Take right and follow signs on FS RD 40 to FS RD 38. Go past Main Rail Head 1/2 mile and SA November Range is on the right. For more information, call 912-767-4316.

TEAM IRONMAN SKEET, TRAP SHOOT AT HUNTER, Saturday (Feb. 7):
The Team Ironman Shoot will be held starting at 9 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 7) at the Hunter Skeet and Trap Range, building 8250 (off South Perimeter Road). Two-person teams, randomly chosen by drawing prior to the event, will shoot 5-stand, Skeet, and Trap. Each member will shoot 25 birds at two different events. Total scores will be combined for the team. The cost is $25 per person. For more information, call 912-315-9554.

ULTIMATE FRISBEE LEAGUE SIGN-UPS BEGIN AT STEWART, Feb 9:
Registration begins Feb. 9 for companies who want to find out if their Frisbee teams is the best on Fort Stewart. Sign-ups continue until March 6 and games begin on March 16 at the Sports Annex (800 block). There is no charge to compete.
