McNEELY ROAD TRAFFIC ALERT, Feb 2-6:
A traffic alert has been made for McNeely Road Traffic Alert due to utility relocation work that will take place near the intersection of McNeely Road and Hero Road from Feb 2-6.   Both inbound and outbound lanes will be impacted on a small portion of McNeely road.  Motorists are advised to use extra caution in this area.  The POC for this action is Mr. Matt Bolen (DPW Project Manager) at 912-767-7898.             
   


CONTROLLED BURNING, ongoing:
Fort Stewart's Forestry Branch is in the midst of a controlled burn season and will be conducting controlled burns at various locations on the Installation each week. HUNTER FIRE WARDEN CLASS, Feb. 5:
The next HAAF fire warden’s class will be held Feb 5 at 9 a.m. in Fire Station Number 2 Building 1295. All attendees are asked to bring a unit appointment letter stating they are the assigned fire warden for their unit/location with building number identified. ARMY NURSE CORPS BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION Feb. 6:
The Army Nurse Corps 114th Birthday Celebration is being held on Feb. 6 at 2 p.m. in the Patriot Auditorium at Fort Stewart's Winn Army Community Hospital.  Guest speaker is Winn's Deputy Commander of Nursing, Colonel Robin M. Adams-Massenburg. Refreshments will be served. All Army Nurse Corps Officers in the facility, and those who are retired and formerly served are invited.  Light refreshments provided.


STEWART/HUNTER SKIESUNLIMITED OFFERS DANCE CLASSES:

Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield CYSS SKIESUnlimited program is now offering dance classes for ballet, tap/jazz, contemporary and hip hop. The number of slots available is limited. Classes are $45 per month and begin this month (February).  Pre-dance is offered for ages 2-4. The Marne Tax Centers at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield are open through Apr. 30. Tax Preparers are available to assist Solders, Family Members, and Retirees from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mon-Wed & Fri, 11 a.m. to 4 pm Thursday. Full service assistance for walk-in or drop-off returns. AFRICAN AMERICAN/BLACK HISTORY OBSERVED, Feb. 11:

VET CLINIC CLOSED, Feb. 16:
The Veterinary Clinic will be closed Feb. 16 for President's Day, and is closed for all federal holidays.  In addition, the clinic closes early the last day of the month for inventory. VEHICLE REGISTRATION OFFICE HOUR CHANGES:
Effective Feb. 17 the operational hours for the FS and HAAF Vehicle Registration Offices will change to 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

ACS REAR DETACHMENT LEADER TRAINING, Feb. 18-19:

MONTHLY TOBACCO CESSATION CLASSES, begin Feb. 25:
Army Public Health Nursing in conjunction with the Army Wellness Center will conduct monthly tobacco cessation classes, beginning Feb. 25, 9 to 10 a.m. at the Army Wellness Center located at 844 Gulick Ave.

FORT STEWART DINING FACILITY OPERATING HOURS, February: 
Legion (Bldg 207, 660 Harmon Ave), Raider (Bldg 642, 1312 William H. Wilson Ave) Thunder Café (Bldg 3003, 1600 W. 6th Street), and Vanguard (Bldg 8439, Vanguard Road) DFACs will be open for weekday breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals, Monday - Friday.  Weekend/holiday hours begin with the supper meal on Friday (for the training holiday on 13 – 16 February 2015, the weekend designated DFACs begins with supper on 12 February).  Dining Facility information can be found on the Team Stewart webpage at: http://www.stewart.army.mil/info.asp?e=DFAC.

FS WEEKEND/HOLIDAY DFAC: 
Dining Facilities open for Weekend/Holiday meals are Legion and Vanguard DFACs.  Vanguard DFAC will be closed after the lunch meal on 12 February and will reopen with the breakfast meal on 17 February.  Designated Weekend and Holiday Meal DFACs begin with the supper meal on Friday (for the training holiday on 13 – 16 February, the weekend designated DFACs begins with supper on 12 February).  Hours are Brunch 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Supper 5-6:30 p.m.

FS WEEKDAY MEAL HOURS:
The Fort Stewart Weekday Meal hours are Breakfast 7:30-9 a.m.; Lunch 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.; and Dinner 5-6:30 p.m.  Thursday Breakfast hours are; Legion 6-8 a.m.; Raider 5-6:30 a.m.; Thunder Café 5-6:30 a.m.; and Vanguard 7:30-9 a.m.; Lunch and Dinner Meal Hours for all DFAC's on Thursday are; Lunch from Noon to 1:30 p.m.; and Dinner from 5-6:30 p.m.  Friday Dinner Meal hours are 4-5:30 p.m.

HAAF CONSOLIDATED DINING FACILITY OPERATING HOURS, February HAAF Consolidated DFAC (Bldg 110, 89 William Barksdale Cir) Weekday Meal Hours are Breakfast 7:30-9 a.m.; Lunch 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.; and Dinner 5-6:30 p.m.  Friday Meal Hours are breakfast 6:30-7 a.m. & 7:30-9 a.m.; Lunch 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.; and Dinner 5-6:30 p.m. Weekend and Holiday Meal Hours are Brunch 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m.; and Supper 5-6:30 p.m.

YEARLY FRG INFORMAL FUND REPORT SUSPENSE:
ACS wishes to remind Commanders that the suspense for the Yearly Family Readiness Group Informal Fund report is due to the first O-6 Commander in the Chain of Command by Jan. 30. The report requires Commanders to summarize current balance, total income, itemized list of expenditures with explanation on how the expenditures are consistent with the purpose of the FRG informal fund SOP.  Reference AR 608-1 App J-7b.  If you have questions please call the Mobilization and Deployment Readiness Team at FS (912) 767-1257 or HAAF (912) - 315-6816.

FREE TICKETS AVAILABLE FOR DANCE PERFORMANCE AT SAVANNAH BLACK HERITAGE FESTIVAL:
Free tickets for a performance by the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble are available while they last at the Hunter and Stewart Leisure Travel offices on a first-come, first-served basis. The performance is on Tuesday (Feb 3) at 7:30 p.m. in the Johnny Mercer Theatre of the Savannah Civic Center. It is a part of the 26th annual Savannah Black Heritage Festival. Hours for the Stewart office, located in the PX Furniture Mall Complex, are 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday. Hours for the Hunter office, located in the PX Exchange, building 6020, are 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.


8 FOR 8 BOWLOPOLIS BOWLING LEAGUE AT STEWART BOWLING CENTER, Saturday (Feb. 7):
The 8 for 8 Bowlopolis Bowling League at Stewart Bowling Center, building 450, is open to everyone who wants to learn to bowl. Participants bowl two games on Saturday mornings, from 10 a.m. until noon starting Saturday (Feb. 7). At the end of program on March 28, participants receive their own bowling ball. LARGE CALIBER RIFLE SHOOT, Saturday (Feb. 7) and March 7:
Large caliber rifle shoots are scheduled for Feb.7 and March 7 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at SA November range. The cost is $5 for a two-hour block. Targets provided and shooting benches placed for use at each point. All Weapons must re-registered on the installation to fire at this range. Register weapons at Pass & Permit from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Directions to range: Off Gulick, take 15th Street to McFarland. TEAM IRONMAN SKEET, TRAP SHOOT AT HUNTER, Saturday (Feb. 7):
The Team Ironman Shoot will be held starting at 9 a.m. Feb. 7 at the Hunter Skeet and Trap Range, building 8250 (off South Perimeter Road). Two-person teams, randomly chosen by drawing prior to the event, will shoot 5-stand, Skeet, and Trap. Each member will shoot 25 birds at two different events. FS SWEETHEART DANCE AND NIGHT-IN FOR PRE-TEENS, TEENS, Feb. 13:

CARDBOARD BOAT REGATTA AT HUNTER, Feb. 28:
Sign-up now for the Cardboard Boat Regatta to be held 10:30 a.m. Feb. 28 at the Tominac Fitness Center Pool on Hunter. Using cardboard and duct tape only, participants must build a boat to race one length of the pool with a two-person crew. No charge to enter. Paddles provided.
