GARRISON COMMANDER SUPERVISOR TRAINING-FS, Friday:
The Garrison Commander will conduct mandatory training

Tax season is almost here! The Marne Tax Centers at Fort
Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield will be open Jan. 29-April 30. Tax Preparers
will be available to assist Solders, Family Members, and Retirees from 8:45
a.m.-4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Full service assistance for walk-in or
drop-off returns. Please bring military IDs and Social Security Cards, all
statements of income (i.e., W-2 forms and 1099 forms), rental property

CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY AT STEWART, Today:
Holiday music will fill the air, Santa will arrive and
the Christmas tree outside Club Stewart will come to life at the Tree Lighting
Ceremony starting at 5:30 p.m. today.
There’s no charge. Free cookies and hot chocolate will be served.
Gluhwein will be available for sale. Seasonal music will be performed by the
3rd ID Band and the Liberty High School Chorus. Bradwell Institute’s
cheerleaders also will be there for the festivities. Santa Claus will be

BOSS CAR, TRUCK AND BIKE SHOW AT HUNTER, Saturday:
BOSS will present a Car, Truck & Bike Show on
Saturday in the Hunter Army Airfield PX parking lot. The event is free and open
to the public. Bike categories will be overall, cruiser and sport. Car/truck
categories will be classic, new muscle, new import (2005 plus) old import, best
truck/SUV, best overall, and most modified. Contestants may register at 10 a.m.
on the day of the event. The cost is $20 per vehicle and $10 per bike. Voting
begins at 1:30 p.m. and the awards ceremony will be at 3:15 p.m. For more

TREES FOR TROOPS DISTRIBUTION AT STEWART, Saturday:
Free, donated Christmas trees will be given to Active
Duty Soldiers and Families on a first-come, first-served basis at Newman
Fitness Center, building 439, starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, while supplies last.
This is the ninth year that The Christmas Spirit Foundation and FedEx have
partnered to provide the trees. Military ID card required. Also, free Christmas
tree stands will be given out by AAFES while supplies last. For more

Santa is taking a break from his busy schedule to play

MARNE MESSAGE SUBMISSIONS:
The Marne Message submission email address is USARMY Fort
Stewart ID List ALL Message Request (on the global) or typed as:
usarmy.stewart.3-id.list.all-message-request@mail.mil. In order to keep the
Marne Message timely and concise, limit submissions to 75 words or less. Do not
use military times. Attachments cannot be included, but links to more online
information can. Only official installation, MWR, or command directed messages
are considered. Effective November 1, 2014, the Marne Message is only sent
twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays. The deadline for the Monday Marne
Message is COB Friday, and the deadline for the Thursday Marne Message is COB
Wednesday. All incoming requests for
Marne Messages will still be posted to the Google Blogger (ref. Marne
Messages).
WANT TO GET MARNE MESSAGES?:
Individuals wishing to get the Marne Message, who do not

location. Go to Milconnect at https://www.dmdc.osd.mil/milconnect, login,
select the "My profile" tab, select "Update and View My
Profile", select the tab that corresponds to your current role in DoD
(i.e. Mil, CIV, CTR, etc). On the duty
installation drop down menu select your correct duty location. Your name will be removed from Marne Message
distribution lists at the next scheduled update which is performed monthly.
