TRAFFIC WARNING:
Commuters are encouraged to use caution on Fort Stewart as road
construction is planned for East 6th Street for traffic between Harmon Avenue
and East Bultman, until May 26. In addition road
construction will close East 16th Street from Troop Avenue to Harmon
Avenue. The road will be closed from 6
a.m. March 17 until May 29. Detour signs
and traffic control devices will be displayed for the duration of the
closures. Motorist are encouraged to
avoid this area to minimize traffic congestion and be alert to changes in
traffic patterns. For more information

VETERANS PARKWAY TRAFFIC ALERT, Ongoing:
Utility work along Veterans Parkway will require partial
lane closures through March 19 for the removal of old utilities from under the
roadway. Motorists could experience

GARRISON COMMANDER SUPERVISOR TRAINING-FS, Mar. 20:
The Garrison Commander will conduct mandatory training
for all Garrison Civilian Supervisors and those in uniform that supervise
Garrison Civilians, AF and NAF Mar. 20 from 9-10 a.m. at the Fort Stewart
Education Center Auditorium. A make-up session will be held Mar. 25 from 9-10
a.m. in the Garrison Conference Room, Bldg. 624. Sign-in begins 30 minutes
prior to start time. All supervisors are required to attend. Do not bring food or beverages, except water.

GARRISON COMMANDER SUPERVISOR TRAINING-HAAF, Mar. 19 and

The Garrison Commander will conduct mandatory training
for all Garrison Civilian Supervisors and those in uniform that supervise

ACS EFMP EASTER EGG HUNT, April 2: Exceptional Family
Member Program Easter Egg hunt April 2 at the EFMP playground located next to

NEW VISITOR CONTROL CENTER HOURS:
April 1 - 30 the Directorate of Emergency Services will
close the Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield Visitor Control Centers between
the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. This
measure is being taken to help the Garrison's ability to determine future
planning efforts of our Access Control and Visitor Control Measures. All visitors who have a valid pass or Common
Access Card / Military ID to access post unescorted will be able to access post
as normal. Visitors who do not have a
valid pass or Common Access Card / Military ID will not be granted unescorted
access to the installation and will be required to have a valid Common Access
Card / Military ID holder physically meet them at Gate 1 (FS) or the Montgomery
Gate (HAAF) for access. The valid ID
Holder will be the visitor's "Sponsor" while on the
installation. Once the sponsor meets
their guest at the gate they will be allowed to follow their sponsor in their
vehicle to their final destination. Visitors
will be logged onto post once the sponsor arrives at the gate. The Sponsor will be responsible and held
accountable to maintain positive control of those they escort on and off the
installation. Sponsors are also
responsible for the personal conduct of their visitors. Only valid Sponsors 18 and older will be
allow to sponsor Guests/Visitors during this time period. Up to five visitors will be allowed per
sponsor. Sponsors who fail to obey this directive could lose the privilege of
sponsoring future guests or visitors.

Army Airfield Garrison Commander, will conduct the bi-annual Fort Stewart State
of the Garrison, Tues. Apr. 14, 1 to 3 p.m., at the Main Post Chapel. Lt. Col. Will Bowman, Garrison Commander, Hunter
Army Airfield, will conduct the Hunter State of the Garrison Thurs., Apr. 16, 1
to 3 p.m., at the Hunter Chapel. Topics
include IMCOM CG priorities, Leadership change, Things We Are Proud Of, What's
Next, Resources, and Awards. The State
of the Garrison is a bi-annual event to share information with the workforce,
and are open to all Garrison employees.

SCRATCH BOWLING TOURNAMENT AT MARNE BOWLING CENTER,
Saturday (March 21):
Bowl for a top prize of up to $800 (based on 60 entries)
in the Scratch Bowling Tournament at Marne Bowling Center starting at 2 p.m.
Saturday. The cost to enter is $60 per person ($50 to the prize fund). Each
participant will bowl five games and the finals will be stepladder format. For

EXTREME COLOR RUN AT HOLBROOK POND RECREATION AREA, March
28:
Registration is under way at Stewart/Hunter Leisure
Travel Offices or online at https://webtrac.mwr.army.mil/webtrac/Stewartrectrac.html
for the Extreme Color Run at 9 a.m. March 28. The untimed event will take
runners approximately five kilometers through Holbrook’s campground and tank
trails. The runners will be “colored” as they pass different color stations the
length of the run. Registration is $30 per person. The fee is $40 at sign-up
table on day of event. Volunteers are needed to help prepare for the run and to

SPRING CARNIVAL AT WALKER FIELD, April 2-5:
A Family carnival, featuring at least 19 major, super and
children’s rides, plus skill games, is coming to Walker Field at Fort Stewart
Thursday, April 2, through Sunday, April 5. Fees for rides will range from 3 or
4 tickets per ride. Tickets will cost $1 each.
Save money by purchasing ride tickets in quantity. Arm bands, covering
unlimited rides for the night, also will be available at reduced prices. Food
and games will be individually priced. No outside coolers or food permitted.
Carnival hours are 5-10 p.m. April 2; 5 p.m. until midnight on April 3; noon
