The Directorate of Emergency Services will close the Fort
Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield Visitor Control Centers between the hours of 9
p.m. and 5 a.m. This measure is being
taken to help the Garrison's ability to determine future planning efforts of
our Access Control and Visitor Control Measures. All visitors who have a valid pass or Common
Access Card / Military ID to access post unescorted will be able to access post
as normal. Visitors who do not have a
valid pass or Common Access Card / Military ID will not be granted unescorted
access to the installation and will be required to have a valid Common Access
Card / Military ID holder physically meet them at Gate 1 (FS) or the Montgomery
Gate (HAAF) for access. The valid ID
Holder will be the visitor's "Sponsor" while on the installation. Once the sponsor meets their guest at the
gate they will be allowed to follow their sponsor in their vehicle to their
final destination. Visitors will be
logged onto post once the sponsor arrives at the gate. The Sponsor will be responsible and held
accountable to maintain positive control of those they escort on and off the
installation. Sponsors are also
responsible for the personal conduct of their visitors. Only valid Sponsors 18 and older will be
allow to sponsor Guests/Visitors during this time period. Up to five visitors will be allowed per
sponsor. Sponsors who fail to obey this directive could lose the privilege of
sponsoring future guests or visitors.

EQCC MEETING, Tuesday (March 31):
IAW AR 200-1, the Garrison Commander will chair the
Environmental Quality Control Committee Meeting Tuesday (March 31st). The
meeting will begin at the Forestry Office located at 2031 GA Hwy 144E (Bldg
8064). All attendees are responsible for
their own transportation to the Forestry Office. After arriving at the Forestry
Office, attendees will then be transported via government buses to a forestry
presentation and controlled burn demonstration within the training area.
Attendees should arrive no later than noon as buses will be leaving promptly.
Participants are reminded to dress accordingly as the majority of the
meeting/tour will be outside. The EQCC helps the Installation in meeting
environmental management responsibilities. Brigade representation, Garrison

ALCOHOL AWARENESS MONTH, April: Hunter Army Airfield’s
Army Substance Abuse Program will kick off their Alcohol Awareness Month
Campaign by sponsoring a presentation by the Georgia State Patrol highlight the
consequences of alcohol use and abuse. All units are encouraged to take
advantage of this training opportunity, the ASAP will count the training hrs
toward each unit’s minimum 4 hr annual Substance Abuse Prevention and Awareness

KIDS’ PARADE, PEP RALLY TO LAUNCH STEWART/HUNTER MONTH OF
THE MILITARY CHILD CELEBRATION, Wednesday (April 1):
Stewart/Hunter’s celebration of the Month of the Military
Child kicks off Wednesday (April 1) with a parade and pep rally. The Grand
Opening Parade at Stewart will be held in the parking area of building 403 CDC
and Marne Bowling Center at 9:30 a.m. Youngsters from other Stewart CDCs will
join in the march, sporting colorful banners and T-shirts to demonstrate their
pride at being a Military Kid. Hunter will begin its celebration at 9:30 a.m.
with a colorful Pep Rally at building 8805, 2599 S. Perimeter Road. Children
from CDCs on Hunter will sing songs and be a part of all the fun. Parents and
the public are invited. The theme for this year’s celebration is “Celebrating
Military Children: Their Lives, Their Stories.”
APRIL IS AUTISM AWARENESS MONTH:
According to recent statistics, Autism effects 1 out of
every 68 children. During the month of
April, ACS EFMP representatives will conduct information tables at different

as railroad crossing construction is planned for Sigma Street from March 27

Commuters are encouraged to use caution on Fort Stewart
as road construction is planned for East 6th Street for traffic between Harmon
Avenue and East Bultman, through 6 a.m. until May 26. In addition road
construction will close East 16th Street from Troop Avenue to Harmon
Avenue. The road will be closed from 6
a.m. until May 29. Detour signs and
traffic control devices will be displayed for the duration of the closures. Motorist are encouraged to avoid this area to

Marne Message timely and concise, limit submissions to 75 words or less. Do not
use military times. Attachments cannot be included, but links to more online
information can. Only official installation, MWR, or command directed messages
are considered.
WANT TO GET MARNE MESSAGES?
Individuals wishing to get the Marne Message, who do not
have a Fort Stewart - Hunter Military Email Account, can visit the 3rd Infantry
Division on Facebook page at:
www.facebook.com/3rd.Infantry.Division. If you have a Fort Stewart -
Hunter Military Email Account and don’t automatically get the Marne Message,
you can request an account by sending an email to “USARMY Ft Stewart 3 ID
Mailbox Marne Message” or
usarmy.stewart.3-id.list.all-message-request@mail.mil. If you have questions,

IF YOU HAVE PCS'D:
If you have moved and are no longer assigned to Fort
Stewart or Hunter Army Airfield, follow these instructions to change your duty
location. Go to Milconnect at https://www.dmdc.osd.mil/milconnect, login,
select the "My profile" tab, select "Update and View My
Profile", select the tab that corresponds to your current role in DoD
(i.e. Mil, CIV, CTR, etc). On the duty
installation drop down menu select your correct duty location. Your name will be removed from Marne Message
distribution lists at the next scheduled update which is performed
monthly. If you have any problems, send
an email to “USARMY Ft Stewart 3 ID Mailbox Marne Message” or usarmy.stewart.3-id.list.all-message-request@mail.mil.
