TODAY THRU MONDAY

(Today) SMOKE TESTS:
Smoke tests are being performed in various locations on HAAF through today. These tests are conducted as part of permit requirement and are used to determine whether drainage pipes have areas that need repair/improvement.  Smoke may be seen inside or outside the buildings listed below.  However, the smoke is harmless and will disappear within a few minutes.  The schedule for these tests is 811 - 813, 6020, and 7902 - 7911.  If you have any questions regarding these tests please contact the Environmental Division at 912-767-2010.

(Today) HUNTER FIRE WARDEN CLASS: 
The next HAAF fire warden’s class will be held today, 9 a.m. in building 1128. All attendees are asked to bring unit appointment letter stating they are the assigned fire warden for their unit/location with building number identified. For more information please call 912-315-6494.

(Today) HELPING CHILDREN DEAL WITH LOSS:
A 6 week program starting Thursday for adults to help children deal with death, divorce, Pet loss, moving and other losses. There are many myths that deal with sad emotions and they end up confusing children.  Learn how to replace these myths with practical guidance.  Space is limited to 12 slots, but during training, dinner will be provided. The training requires a commitment to attend all the training over the 6 week period.  A supervised Kid's corner will also be available.  Please call the Survivor Outreach Services Program at (912) 435-9598 to RSVP.

(Today) PREPARE FOR THE STEWART ACS HIRING FAIR:
Army Community Service (ACS) will host a hiring fair at Club Stewart on April 20. (Open only to those with government issued ID cards).  Prepare early by taking Resume Writing workshop today from 2-3 p.m. Class is in building 87 classroom, register early as seats will fill quickly.  Visit www.erp1stop.com to view businesses that will be represented as well as to get more ideas to assist in preparing for success. (Friday) GARRISON COMMANDER'S GOLF SCRAMBLE AT HUNTER:

A Premiere Southeast Georgia Monthly Jazz Event is scheduled for Friday. (Saturday-April 30) MUSIC AT THE LIBRARY:
In recognition of Month of the Military Child, the Music Medicine Institute and Live-Oak Public Library sponsor free days for children of all ages to learn about music and sample playing a variety of instruments.  Southwest Chatham Library offers the music event Saturday and April 23, 2-3:30 p.m.; and Midway Library, April 16 and 30, 2 - 3:30 p.m. For more information about Music Medicine Institute, go to: musicmedicine.org.

(Saturday) FORT STEWART/HUNTER ARMY AIRFIELD POST-WIDE HOUSING GARAGE SALE:
Stewart/Hunter is having a garage sale in on-post housing areas from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday (April 9). Only residents of on-post housing are eligible to sell. (Ongoing) FIVE FREE GARDEN PLOTS AVAILABLE AT STEWART:

(April 2016) FORT STEWART DINING FACILITY OPERATING HOURS:
Thunder Café (Bldg 3003, 1600 W. 6th Street), Marne Bistro (Bldg 726, 1902 William H. Wilson Ave), and Spartan (Bldg 8439, Vanguard Road) DFACs will be open for weekday breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals, Monday - Friday.  Weekend/holiday hours begin with the supper meal on Friday.  Spartan DFAC will close after the lunch meal on 22 April and will reopen on 25 April with the breakfast meal.  Dining Facility information can be found on the Team Stewart webpage at: http://www.stewart.army.mil/info.asp?e=DFAC. (April 2016) FS WEEKEND/HOLIDAY DFAC:
Dining Facilities open for Weekend/Holiday meals are Marne Bistro and Spartan DFACs.  Spartan DFAC will be closed after the lunch meal on 22 April and will reopen on 25 April.  Designated Weekend and Holiday Meal DFACs begin with the supper meal on Friday.  Hours are Brunch 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Supper 5-6:30 p.m.

(April 2016) FS WEEKDAY MEAL HOURS:
The Fort Stewart Weekday Meal hours for Breakfast are; Thunder Café 8-9:30 a.m.; Marne Bistro 7:45-9:15 a.m.; and Spartan 8-9:30 a.m.   Weekday Lunch hours are 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. for Thunder Café and Marne Bistro DFACS; noon-1:30 p.m. for Spartan DFAC; and Dinner 5-6:30 p.m. for all DFACs.  Thursday Lunch and Dinner meal hours for all DFACs is; Lunch from Noon to 1:30 p.m.; and Dinner from 5-6:30 p.m.  Friday Dinner Meal hours are 4-5:30 p.m.

HAAF Consolidated DFAC (Bldg 110, 89 William Barksdale Cir) Weekday Meal Hours are Breakfast 8:00-9:30 a.m.; Lunch noon-1:30 p.m.; and Dinner 5-6:30 p.m. Weekend and Holiday Meal Hours are Brunch 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m.; and Supper 5-6:30 p.m.
