CONTROLLED BURNS, Today:
Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield will conduct prescribed burns Today, Jan. 26 in an area is 7.5 miles West-North-West of Bldg 1 and 2.5 miles South of Taylors Creek fire tower. Flames will not be visible from GA highways 144 or 119. Predicted winds are West 14-18.  Also, in an area about 6 miles NW of Bldg 1 and 5 miles WNW of Lawson fire tower. Flames will be visible from GA highway 144 West. Caution smoke signs will be posted. Predicted winds are W 14-18.

VETERANS PARKWAY TRAFFIC DETOUR ALERT, Jan. 26-28: 
Major utility relocation work will take place near the intersection of Bultman Avenue and Veterans Parkway from Jan. 26-28 for the installation of a new sewer line.  Both inbound and outbound lanes will be impacted on Veterans Parkway so traffic will be detoured onto Bultman Avenue.  Motorists could experience delays and should use extra caution in this area.  The POC for this action is Mr. Matt Bolen (DPW Project Manager) at 912-767-7898.      

TRAINING RESOURCE CONFERENCE, Jan. 27: 
S-3's, Operations Sergeants Major, Master Gunners and Schools NCO's are reminded that the next monthly Training Resource Conference will be held Tuesday, Jan. 27, 9:30 a.m., at MOON THEATER. We will schedule training devices, ranges and training areas up through JUNE & JULY 2015. The next conference will not be until Feb. 24, 2015.

TAX CENTERS OPEN, Jan. 29:
Tax season is almost here! The Marne Tax Centers at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield will be open from 29 JAN 15 to 30 APR 15. Tax Preparers will be available to assist Solders, Family Members, and Retirees from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mon-Wed & Fri, 11 a.m. to 4 pm Thursday. Full service assistance for walk-in or drop-off returns. YEARLY FRG INFORMAL FUND REPORT SUSPENSE:
ACS wishes to remind Commanders that the suspense for the Yearly Family Readiness Group Informal Fund report is due to the first O-6 Commander in the Chain of Command by Jan. 30. The Marne Message submission email address is USARMY Fort Stewart ID List ALL Message Request (on the global) or typed as: usarmy.stewart.3-id.list.all-message-request@mail.mil. In order to keep the Marne Message timely and concise, limit submissions to 75 words or less. Do not use military times. Attachments cannot be included, but links to more online information can. Only official installation, MWR, or command directed messages are considered. Effective November 1, 2014, the Marne Message is only sent twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays. The deadline for the Monday Marne Message is COB Friday, and the deadline for the Thursday Marne Message is COB Wednesday.  All incoming requests for Marne Messages will still be posted to the Google Blogger (ref. Marne Messages).
