LIBERTY COUNTY SATELLITE OFFICE ENDS SERVICE, Today:
Effective today the Liberty County Satellite Office at Building 226 Fort Stewart will no longer be providing service at this site.  Soldiers, Family Members, Retirees and DA Civilians are able to go to the Liberty County Tax Commissioner's Office at 100 Main Street, Suite 1545, Hinesville, Ga.

HUNTER FIRE WARDEN CLASS:
The next HAAF fire warden’s class will be held Jan. 8 at 9 a.m. in Fire Station Number 2 Building 1295. All attendees are asked to bring a unit appointment letter stating they are the assigned fire warden for their unit/location with building number identified. RECYCLE YOUR LIVE CHRISTMAS TREE, through Friday:
In support of its annual Bring One for the Chipper campaign, Keep Fort Stewart-HAAF Beautiful will be collecting live Christmas Trees through Friday. Drop-off locations are the PX parking lots on Fort Stewart and Hunter. The trees will be used either as fish and wildlife habitats throughout the Installation or will be mulched for use at the Fort Stewart Central Energy Plant. STEWART TRAFFIC SIGNALS ISSUES:
The Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield Directorate of Public Works is experiencing problems with the traffic signals at Hero and Austin and the signal at Hero and Steele.  These lights are in flashing mode until we get the parts to fix them.  Be cautious when at these intersections. CONTROLLED BURNING, ongoing:
Fort Stewart's Forestry Branch is in the midst of a controlled burn season and will be conducting controlled burns at various locations on the Installation each week. CDR/1SG FRG Essentials, Tuesday:
Join ACS Tuesday for CDR/1SG FRG Essentials.  This Training designed to assist CDR’s and 1SG’s with the setup of their FRG’s and Marne Inspection Preparation.  This event will be conducted in building 87, 9-11:30 a.m. Call FS (912) 767-1257 to register.

SPOUSE JOB OPPORTUNITIES, Wednesday:

JPAS TRAINING, Jan. 12:
The next Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) training is scheduled for Jan. 12, 1-4 p.m. at the SFC Paul Smith Education Center, Room 179, on Fort Stewart. Only 22 seats available, so please reserve your seats soonest. This class is for newly appointed and refresher training for Stewart-HAAF appointed Security Managers. JPAS is a system where comprehensive personnel security management of all DoD employees, military personnel, civilians and DoD contractors are managed. The Installation Security Office oversees training and grants access to those personnel required. The Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield Directorate of Public Works will conduct some gas valve replacements Jan. 16 from 9 a.m.-UTC. The Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield Directorate of Public Works will conduct a power outage as part of the Veteran's Parkway road widening project. This is scheduled for Jan. 19 from 8 a.m. until closing. HIRING FAIR AND TRANSITION SUMMIT, Jan. 21 and 22, 2015:

TAX CENTERS FOR FORT STEWART AND HUNTER ARMY AIRFIELD, Jan. 29:
Tax season is almost here! The Marne Tax Centers at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield will be open Jan. 29-April 30. Tax Preparers will be available to assist Solders, Family Members, and Retirees from 8:45 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Full service assistance for walk-in or drop-off returns. CORKAN FUN CENTER TEMPORARILY CLOSED FOR SKATING RINK WORK:
Corkan Family Fun Center, building 449, is closed today until March 1 while the Skating Rink flooring is replaced and new barrier walls are constructed. Building 449 also houses the Laser Tag area and Bounce Houses. They will not be available for use during the work. Cypress Sam’s Treehouse Indoor Playland, Cypress Creek Adventure (Mini) Golf, and Stewart Bowling Center will operate on normal schedules while the roller rink work is being completed. MARNE MESSAGE SUBMISSIONS:
The Marne Message submission email address is USARMY Fort Stewart ID List ALL Message Request (on the global) or typed as: usarmy.stewart.3-id.list.all-message-request@mail.mil. In order to keep the Marne Message timely and concise, limit submissions to 75 words or less. Do not use military times. Attachments cannot be included, but links to more online information can. Only official installation, MWR, or command directed messages are considered. Effective November 1, 2014, the Marne Message is only sent twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays. The deadline for the Monday Marne Message is COB Friday, and the deadline for the Thursday Marne Message is COB Wednesday.  All incoming requests for Marne Messages will still be posted to the Google Blogger (ref. Marne Messages).

WANT TO GET MARNE MESSAGES?:
Individuals wishing to get the Marne Message, who do not have a Fort Stewart - Hunter Military Email Account, can visit the 3rd Infantry Division on Facebook page at:  www.facebook.com/3rd.Infantry.Division  If you have a Fort Stewart - Hunter Military Email Account and don’t automatically get the Marne Message, you can request an account by sending an email to “USARMY Ft Stewart 3 ID Mailbox Marne Message” or usarmy.stewart.3-id.list.all-message-request@mail.mil. IF YOU HAVE PCS'D:

If you have moved and are no longer assigned to Fort Stewart or Hunter Army Airfield, follow these instructions to change your duty location. Go to Milconnect at https://www.dmdc.osd.mil/milconnect, login, select the "My profile" tab, select "Update and View My Profile", select the tab that corresponds to your current role in DoD (i.e. Mil, CIV, CTR, etc).  On the duty installation drop down menu select your correct duty location.  Your name will be removed from Marne Message distribution lists at the next scheduled update which is performed monthly.
