GARRISON COMMANDER SUPERVISOR TRAINING-FS, Thursday:
The Garrison Commander will conduct mandatory training
for all Garrison Civilian Supervisors and those in uniform that supervise
Garrison Civilians, AF and NAF Thursday from 1-2 p.m. at the SFC Paul R smith
Education Center Auditorium. A make-up session will be held Sep. 25 from 9-10
am in the Garrison Conference Room, Bldg 624. Sign-in begins 30 minutes prior
to start time. All supervisors are required to attend. Do not bring food or beverages, except water.

WARRIOR LEADER COURSE GRADUATION, Friday:
The Fort Stewart NCO Academy Warrior Leader course, Class
09-14, will graduate Friday at Newman Fitness Center, 11 a.m. Doors open at 10:45 a.m. The uniform for

ROCKY CUP AT STERLING LINKS GOLF COURSE, RICHMOND HILL,
Saturday:
(Register by Wednesday.) Join fellow Stewart/Hunter golfers vs.
Sterling Links Golf Club (off Hwy 144 East, Richmond Hill) in Quarterly Ryder
Cup format matches between both course players starting at 8 a.m. Saturday.
Two-person teams paired with full field of 20 representing both courses. The
$30 per person cost includes tournament fee, golf cars, driving range and light

PRESCRIPTION DRUG TAKE BACK DAY, Sep. 26:
The FS and HAAF Army Substance Abuse Program in
coordination with the Chatham County Office of the Drug Enforcement Agency will
host a “National Prescription Drug Take Back Day” Sep. 26 between the hours of
1-5 p.m. at the FS and HAAF Commissaries. All Soldiers, Family Members,
Retirees, Civilian Employees and community members are encouraged to turn in
all unused, expired or unwanted prescribed and over the counter medication for

AAFES SURVEY, through Sep. 26:
Hunter AAFES will conduct its annual customer survey
through Sep. 26 at its Main Store. Everyone is invited to stop by and take the
survey, which takes about 10-20 minutes to complete. They will receive a $5
store coupon for their time and effort. The surveys are located next to the
customer service office and are available Mon.- Fri., 9:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.; Sat.,
10 a.m. - 6 p.m.; and Sun. 11 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Call 912-352-8380, if you have

MILITARY WORKPLACE STUDY, Sept. 30:
The DoD is conducting a study to assess workplace relations
and recent experiences of service members. This web-based survey assesses your
recent experiences with military workplace relations, professionalism, and
personal safety. This voluntary survey is short, and it is important, so we
urge you to make time to complete it. Everyone's responses are needed so that
we can better understand the presence or absence of problems in the military
workplace. Select active duty service members have been invited to participate
in the study via email and regular mail. The survey can be completed on or off
duty, at home or at work, using a government computer, smart phone, or home
computer. It’s OK to forward the survey to a personal email address.
Participation is voluntary and confidential. The deadline for the survey is
Sept. 30.
MORE SURVEY PARTICIPATION NEEDED TO HELP SHAPE MWR
SERVICES AT HUNTER, through Oct. 17:
At least 35 more participants are needed to meet the
essential participation number of an exclusively online Army MWR Services
Survey to determine present and future service and recreation needs at Hunter
Army Airfield. The survey continues until Oct. 17. Active Duty, spouses,
retirees and DoD civilians who work, live or play at Hunter are invited to take

will have a significant impact on MWR services and facilities at Hunter. MWR
sponsors events and activities for children and adults and operates facilities
such as Tominac Fitness Center, the outdoor pool, golf course, outdoor

name a few. Child, Youth and School Services operations fall under MWR.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE FOR ACES COLLEGE GRADUATION
CEREMONY, Oct 26:
The 33rd Annual College Graduation is 7 p.m. Nov. 14 at
the Main Post Chapel. The event is open to all Military, Family Members,
Retirees, and employees if you are within nine semester hours of completing
degree requirements or have earned a degree, certificate or diploma since Jan,

DENTAL CLINIC #1 CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, Ongoing:
Dental Clinic #1, near Cottrell Field, is closed until
further notice for maintenance on a leaking roof. Soldiers needing to clear post due to PCSing,
ETSing, or Retiring should please go to Dental Clinic #4 down the road - just
past the golf course. The address there is 343 Warrior Road, Bldg 2115. Appointments may be scheduled or rescheduled
through the DENTAC Single Access Line at (912) 435-6777.
FINANCE PROCESSING SECTION WEEKLY CLOSURE:

“BEND-THE-BAR” POWERLIFTING AND BENCH PRESS CHALLENGE,
Saturday:
(Registration ongoing.) Registration is under way for the
Stewart/Hunter “Bend-the-Bar” Powerlifting and Bench Press Challenge at 10 a.m.
Saturday at Johnson Fitness Center (formerly 4th IBCT Fitness Center). Men and
women will compete in 12 weight classes, following USPF rules. Winners must
have a successful lift in squat, bench and deadlift. T-shirts will be given to
each paying participant and prizes will be awarded in all weight classes. Entry
fee is $15 per person until Sept. 15 and $20 per person after Sept. 15. For

HUNTER FALL CARNIVAL, Sept. 25-28:
Four-day, pay-as-you-go Carnival, located directly behind

In order to keep the Marne Message timely and concise, limit submissions to 75
words or less. Do not use military times. Attachments cannot be included, but
links to more online information can. Only official installation, MWR, or
command directed messages are considered. Marne Messages are posted daily at www.stewart.army.mil, and www.facebook.com/3rd.Infantry.Division>.
MESSAGES HAVE A 3-DAY RUN LIMIT; you may, however, re-submit after 3rd day for

login, select the "My profile" tab, select "Update and View My
Profile", select the tab that corresponds to your current role in DoD
(i.e. Mil, CIV, CTR, etc). On the duty
installation drop down menu select your correct duty location. Your name will be removed from Marne Message
distribution lists at the next scheduled update which is performed
monthly.
