TRAFFIC ALERT, Sept. 8:
Motorists may experience traffic delays at the Main Gate
and Gate 5 from 7 a.m. to noon, Monday (Sept. 8) due to a funeral service at
the Main Post Chapel, scheduled for that time. Some lanes may be closed to
facilitate the procession. Motorists should us alternative routes during those
times to avoid congestion.

AAFEES SURVEY, through Sept. 26:
Hunter AAFES will conduct its annual customer survey
through Sep. 26 at the Main Store. Everyone is invited to stop by and take the
survey, which takes about 10-20 minutes to complete. They will receive a $5
store coupon for their time and effort. The surveys are located next to the
customer service office and are available Mon.- Fri., 9:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.; Sat.,
10 a.m. - 6 p.m.; and Sun. 11 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Call 912-352-8380, if you have

MORE SURVEY PARTICIPATION NEEDED TO HELP SHAPE MWR
SERVICES AT HUNTER, through Oct. 17:
At least 35 more participants are needed to meet the
essential participation number of an exclusively online Army MWR Services
Survey to determine present and future service and recreation needs at Hunter
Army Airfield. The survey continues until Oct. 17. Active Duty, spouses,
retirees and DoD civilians who work, live or play at Hunter are invited to take
the survey at http://bit.ly/1AXiGTE <http://bit.ly/1AXiGTE>. Survey responses
will have a significant impact on MWR services and facilities at Hunter. MWR
sponsors events and activities for children and adults and operates facilities
such as Tominac Fitness Center, the outdoor pool, golf course, outdoor
recreation, Leisure Travel School Age Services and the Auto Skills Center, to
name a few. Child, Youth and School Services operations fall under MWR.
SATURDAY LONG RANGE SHOOTING CANCELED:

MARRIAGE WORKSHOP, Sept. 9, 10, 11:
Army Community Service will hold a three day
marriage workshop training event to help your marriage, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sept
9, 10, and 11 in Bldg 87. It is encouraged that Soldier and Spouse attend
together. The classroom is a safe place to work on communication and being able

HISPANIC HERITAGE OBSERVANCE, Sept. 10:
The 3rd Infantry Division and 42nd Fires Brigade hosts
their annual observance for National Hispanic Heritage Month, 11:30 a.m.
Wednesday, 10 SEP 14 at Club Stewart in the Main Ball Room. The observance will
highlight this year's theme: “Hispanics: A legacy of history, a present of
action and a future of success.” The
observance will feature Professor Ruben Salinas of Savannah College of Arts and
Design (SCAD) as the keynote speaker, with a band and dancers from the Hinesville
Area Hispanic Heritage Club. For more

“BEND-THE-BAR” POWERLIFTING AND BENCH PRESS CHALLENGE,

Stewart/Hunter “Bend-the-Bar” Powerlifting and Bench Press Challenge at 10 a.m.
Sept. 20 at the Johnson Fitness Center. Men
and women will compete in 12 weight classes, following USPF rules. Winners must
have a successful lift in squat, bench and deadlift. T-shirts will be given to
each paying participant and prizes will be awarded in all weight classes. Entry
