PASSPORT OFFICE CLOSURE, through Sept. 3:
The Fort
Stewart/HAAF Passport Office located at the Soldier Service Center, building

will be no passport processing capabilities.

VETERANS PARKWAY ROAD WIDENING STARTED, Ongoing:

be advised that utility construction has begun on Veterans Parkway Widening

CARO FITNESS CENTER LABOR DAY WEEKEND HOURS OF OPERATION:
Caro Fitness Center, building 708, hours of operation will change for the

4IBCT FITNESS CENTER CLOSED FOR DEDICATION, 9 a.m-1 p.m.,
Aug. 26:
The 4IBCT Fitness Center will be closed Aug. 26 from 9 a.m. until 1
p.m. for a ceremony renaming it the Charles R. Johnson Fitness Center. PFC
Johnson, 15th Infantry Regiment 3rd ID, was awarded the Silver Star
posthumously, 57 years after his actions at Outpost Harry in Korea. Johnson, of
Freedom Plains, N.Y., is credited with saving the lives of at least eight

Scramble at Taylors Creek Golf Course. The four-person scramble begins at 9
a.m. Aug. 28, with a shotgun start. The scramble is being held on Thursday

SESSION TWO OF "GET GOLF READY" AT STEWART:

Celebrate your favorite superhero throughout September at George P. Hays

one week to complete. Complete all four missions to receive a certificate and

complete your most challenging mission: conquering the obstacle course to save

“BEND-THE-BAR” POWERLIFTING AND BENCH PRESS CHALLENGE,
Sept. 20: (Registration ongoing.) Registration is under way for the
Stewart/Hunter “Bend-the-Bar” Powerlifting and Bench Press Challenge at 10 a.m.
Sept. 20 at 4th IBCT Fitness Center. Men and women will compete in 12 weight
classes, following USPF rules. Winners must have a successful lift in squat,
bench and deadlift. T-shirts will be given to each paying participant and
prizes will be awarded in all weight classes. Entry fee is $15 per person until

BASS TOURNAMENT AT FORT STEWART, Sept. 27:

HUNTER AAF ARMY MWR SERVICES SURVEY UNDER WAY:
An
exclusively online Army MWR Services Survey, tailored to determine present and
future service and recreation needs at Hunter Army Airfield, has begun. Active
Duty, spouses, retirees and DoD civilians who work, live or play at Hunter are

and confidential. The survey will take 10-15 minutes. MWR operates facilities such as Tominac
Fitness Center, the outdoor pool, golf course, outdoor recreation, School Age

The Bradwell Institute Tigers invite
all active duty military to be their guests at Military Appreciation Night for

(USATF Certified), 12K Cross Country Race (road and lake trails) and 1 Mile Fun

FORT MCALLISTER WOUNDED WARRIOR FISHING RODEO, Sept. 20:
(register by Sept. 10): The Fort McAllister Sports Fishing Club, ICW community
sponsors, will take Soldiers fishing at both inshore and offshore locations,
Sept 20 for their annual Fishing Rodeo.

words or less. Do not use military times. Attachments cannot be included, but
links to more online information can. Only official installation, MWR, or

MESSAGES HAVE A 3-DAY RUN LIMIT; you may, however, re-submit after 3rd day for
