OUTDOOR POOL SEASON EXTENDED; BRYAN VILLAGE POOL OPEN WEEKENDS:
Operation of the Corkan and Hunter Outdoor Swimming Pools has been extended through Sept. 18. Hours of operation are Thursday-Monday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. The pools are closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Also continuing through Sept. 18, Bryan Village Outdoor Swimming Pool, (building 7098) will be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Admission at all pools is $3 per person per day. (August) FORT STEWART DINING FACILITY OPERATING HOURS:  Thunder Café (building 3003, 1600 W. 6th Street), Marne Bistro (Bldg 726, 1902 William H. Wilson Ave), and Spartan (building 8439, Vanguard Road) DFACs will be open for weekday breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals, Monday-Friday. Weekend/holiday hours begin with the supper meal on Friday (for the training holiday Aug. 19-21 the weekend designated DFAC begins with supper Aug. 18). Spartan DFAC will close after the lunch meal Aug. 18 and will reopen Aug. 22

Dining Facilities open for Weekend/Holiday meals are Marne Bistro and Spartan DFACs. Spartan DFAC will be closed after the lunch meal Aug. 18 and will reopen Aug. 22 with the breakfast meal. Designated Weekend and Holiday Meal DFACs begin with the supper meal on Friday.  Hours are Brunch 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Supper 5-6:30 p.m.

(Aug. 16) FRG LEADER/TREASURER TRAINING: On Aug 16, ACS Mobilization and Deployment Team will conduct 2 trainings that will certify volunteers who wish to help their units Family Readiness Group or FRG.  Starting at 9 a.m., ACS will conduct FRG Leader Training for volunteers who wish to step into a leadership role.  At 1 p.m., ACS will then have the Treasurer training.  Both trainings are mandatory for volunteers who wish to work in these roles.  Please call

(Aug. 16-18) FORT STEWART AND HAAF ORANGE WEEK:
The Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield Signal Community cordially invites all area Signal units, leaders, and Soldiers to attend this year’s Signal Regimental Week (Orange Week) hosted by 63rd ESB, Aug. 16-18. Orange Week will include unit challenges, informational briefs from HRC (Officer and Enlisted), briefs from US Cyber Command and key signal leaders, as well as a Signal Orange Run. (Aug. 17) DOWNSIZING DEBT:

(Aug. 17) LIVING ON A PLAN:

(Aug. 31) THRIFT SAVING PLAN CLASS:
Are you thinking about buying for the future?  The ACS Financial Readiness Section located in building 86 is teaching a class on Thrift Savings Plan on Aug. 31 from 1–3 p.m. The Thrift Savings Plan is an interactive workshop suitable for all service members. It is designed to provide detailed information on the Thrift Savings Program (TSP) and to help learners understand how TSP can contribute to financial security during retirement.

(Through September) SUMMER SAFETY CAMPAIGN:
The 100 Days of summer campaign focusing on traffic safety and motorcycle safety has begun and continues through Sep. 1. There will be increased safety checkpoints to ensure that drivers are buckling up and driving safely by both Ft Stewart PD and surrounding Law Enforcement agencies. Weekend hours of operation at Stewart/Hunter fitness centers will change during the first weekend of  September. Caro Fitness Center (FS building 708) will be closed Sundays beginning Sept. 4. Caro’s hours of operation on Saturdays (9 a.m.-5 p.m.) will remain the same.  Effective Sept. 3, Newman Fitness Center (FS building 439) will be open Saturdays 8 a.m-9 p.m. and Sundays 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Johnson Fitness Center (FS building 8437) will be open Saturdays 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sundays 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Tominac Fitness Center

(Aug 16) MARNE COMMUNITY AND SPOUSES’ CLUB SUPER SIGN UP
The Marne Community and Spouses Club is excited to embark on its 2016-2017 season. Together We Can Do Big Things. This isn't just our theme; it's truly a model for how we approach life. As a community organization, we strive to give back to the communities that support Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield. This year's Super Sign Up will be held on August 16, from 9-1 at the Richmond Hill City Center. This event will be a wonderful opportunity to join the club, meet the board, shop from local vendors, and explore community offerings like scouting and dance studios. Complementary refreshments will be provided, including scones and Georgia Peach Bellini’s. The cost for yearly membership to MCSC is just $25 and is open to all DoD identification card holders, men and women alike. Associate membership is available to members of the community who are NOT
