LIMITED NUMBER OF ‘SAVANNAH BANANAS’ ‘SALUTE THE TROOPS’ GAME TICKETS AVAILABLE:
A limited number of tickets for the Savannah Bananas’ “Salute the Troops” game against the Lexington County Blowfish are available at the Stewart/Hunter Leisure Travel offices. Tickets are $15 each, which includes game admission, all you can eat meal of hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken sandwiches, French fries, popcorn and soft drinks. In addition, $5 of each ticket price goes toward the Nine Line Apparel, founded by two Army captains and brothers with multiple combat deployments. Nine Line gives back to American combat wounded. The “Salute the Troops” game will be played at Grayson Stadium in Savannah July 9. Gates open at 6 p.m. and game time is 7 p.m. Soldiers, Retirees and DoD employees may purchase tickets on a first-come, first-served basis. Deadline to purchase tickets is July 8. (Today) CLOSURE OF HUNTER AER:

(Friday) NO MORE ON-SITE SAFE REPAIRS UNDER 600 POUNDS:
Effective Friday, the Logistics Readiness Center will no longer provide on-site safe repair for safes less than 600 lbs. All safes under 600 lbs. will be brought to the LRC Small Arms facility, Building 1048 with a DA Form 2407-E or DA Form 2407 approved and stamped by G4 Maintenance.  For safes that weigh over 600 lbs., an "on-site repair" work order may be submitted and the LRC will schedule an appointment to visit the unit's location.  For additional information units may contact (912) 767-7319.


(Friday and Monday) STEWART/HUNTER INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS:
The public is invited to join Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield military personnel and their Families in celebrating Independence Day. The Hunter celebration begins at 8:30 p.m. Friday at Family Day Field. The 3rd ID band will play, followed by a dazzling fireworks display. Fort Stewart will have a Salute to the Nation ceremony starting at 8:30 p.m. Monday at Cottrell Field. The 3rd ID band will play patriotic music prior to a 50-gun salute (one round for each of the 50 states) as the “Voice of the Marne” narrator gives a brief history. Following the artillery salute, a fireworks display will light up the night sky and bring the celebration to a close. Grills, pets and glass bottles are strictly prohibited on Family Day Field at Hunter and on the Quick Track, Newman and Cottrell Field at Stewart. Brought to you in part by USAA and Rock 106.9. (Saturday) SOLDIERS, CLUB STEWART’S CHEF NINO FEATURED ON ‘ANGLERS & APPETITES’:

Eight Stewart/Hunter Soldiers and Club Stewart’s own Chef Nino Bassaro are featured on an “Anglers & Appetites” episode that will be televised at 10 a.m. Saturday on Fox Sports South. (Saturday-Monday) STEWART-HUNTER EXCHANGE HOLIDAY HOURS: 
The Exchange at Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield will begin operating under special hours for the Independence Day holidays, beginning Saturday. For specific openings and closures, call 912-876-8880.

(Monday) RED, WHITE AND BLUE 4TH OF JULY SCRAMBLE AT TAYLORS CREEK:
Start your Independence Day celebration with the nine-hole, Red, White and Blue 4th of July Golf Scramble at Taylors Creek Golf Course. Registration opens at 7 a.m. and play begins at 8 a.m. Play will be on the back nine, as the front nine will close to allow fireworks to be put into place for the Salute to the Nation festivities later that evening. (Monday) DENTAL CLINIC CLOSURE:
All Fort Stewart Dental Clinics will be closed for Monday. Dental Clinic #3 will be the only Dental Clinic open on Tuesday for limited sick call.  Dental Clinic #1 is located at Bldg 440, 351 W. 6th Street on Fort Stewart. Dental Clinic #1 will be open from 7:30 a.m.-3:15 p.m. DC #3/HAAF will be closed for patient care on Monday and Tuesday. If Soldiers are having a dental emergency, please go to Winn Army Community Hospital Emergency Room and the Dentist on Duty (DoD) will be called. Soldiers who would like to check on appointment availability call the DENTAC single access appointment line (912) 435-6777.

(Tuesday) TRAFFIC ALERT FOR VETERANS PARKWAY:
Significant roadway construction will start Tuesday near Gate #8 as Veterans Parkway is widened to four lanes.  The roadway will remain open, however traffic delays are expected.  Please use extra caution in this area.  The POC for this action is Mr. Matt Bolen (DPW Project Manager) at 912-767-7049.  

(Monday and Tuesday) STEWART-HUNTER ACP SCHEDULE:
Please note the following changes for your commutes to the Stewart-Hunter installation at the respective Access Control Points. Closed on Monday at Stewart are: Gate 7, Gate 7C, and Gate 2; closed Monday at Hunter is the Wilson gate. Closed on Tuesday at Stewart is Gate 2; closed Tuesday on Hunter is the Wilson gate.
