(Ongoing) SAFETY GRAM 101 DAYS OF SUMMER SAFETY:
Temperatures are rising, Soldiers and Civilians will be challenged as they execute both on and off-duty activities. Privately owned vehicle (POV) operations, recreational water activities and seasonal conditions account for the majority of summer accidents and injuries.  We ask everyone to take ownership of the risk-management process and to be your own best battle buddy. Whether you are taking a Family vacation, road trip, riding your motorcycle or boating on the lake, be aware of potential hazards. Take responsibility for your own safety. Wear your seat belts, obey speed limits and wear your personal protective equipment as required.  We cannot afford the loss of a Soldier, Family Member, or Civilian employee to a preventable injury. Now is the time to evaluate and ensure all facets of your summer safety initiatives are in order.  You can go to this link and print out SG # 16-12 (Heat Illness), SG #16-13 (Heat Cramps and Heat Exhaustion and SG #16-14 (Heat Stroke) flyers and post it on your safety board:  http://www.stewart.army.mil/info/?id=409&p=0
