(Today) TRAINING RESOURCE CONFERENCE:
S-3's, Operation Sergeants Major, Master Gunners and Schools NCO's are reminded that the next monthly Training Resource Conference will be held today at Moon Theater.  We will schedule training devices, ranges and training areas up through NOV 2016.  For more information, call 912-435-7689.

(Tuesday) CYSS TOWN HALL MEETING:
There will be a town hall meeting at the Youth Fitness Center, Building 7338 Tuesday at 5 p.m. to discuss upcoming changes within Child, Youth and School Services on Fort Stewart.  Topics will include Youth Fitness Center usage and changes within the Child Development Center, Bldg. 403.  The Garrison Commander and CYSS Coordinator will be there to answer any questions parents may have about how these changes will impact the community. (Thursday) STEWART EMERGENCY WATER OUTAGE:
A water outage will take place Thursday, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in the 600 block to repair a water leak near building 638. The buildings that could be possibly affected are 635,637,622,623,626,634,636,638,639,640, and 641.  For more information please call the DPW service order desk at (912)-767-2883.

(Thursday) REGIMENTAL COMMAND SERGEANTS MAJOR, US ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS VISIT:
Command Sergeant Major Bradley J. Houston will conduct an NCOPD for all E4 promotable - E9 Engineer Soldiers, and will hold a lunch for Brigade and Battalion Command Teams to discuss enlisted promotions, senior NCO promotion trends and Regimental items of interest.  The NCOPD will be 9:30 a.m. to noon at Woodruff Theater. (Thursday) ACS CLOSURE:
The ACS on both Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield will be closed for clients Thursday from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. so staff members can attend a ceremony and reception.  ACS will reopen at 2:30 p.m. For questions, please call (912) 767-5058/1257/2882 or HAAF (912) 315-6816.

(Thursday) HUNTER FIRE WARDEN CLASS:

(June) FORT STEWART DINING FACILITY OPERATING HOURS:
Thunder Café (building 3003, 1600 W. 6th Street), Marne Bistro (building 726, 1902 William H. Wilson Ave), and Spartan (building 8439, Vanguard Road) DFACs will be open for weekday breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals, Monday-Friday.  Weekend/holiday hours begin with the supper meal on Friday (for the training holiday on 17-19 June the weekend designated DFAC begins with supper on 16 June).  Spartan DFAC will close after the lunch meal on 16 June and will reopen on 20 June with the breakfast meal.  Dining Facility information can be found on the Team Stewart webpage at:

Dining Facilities open for Weekend/Holiday meals are Marne Bistro and Spartan DFACs.  Spartan DFAC will be closed after the lunch meal on 16 June and will reopen on 20 June with the breakfast meal. Designated Weekend and Holiday Meal DFACs begin with the supper meal on Friday.  Hours are Brunch 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Supper 5-6:30 p.m.

(Aug. 20) SAVE THE DATE FOR BABY EXPO:
The 6th annual Baby Expo is scheduled for Club Stewart, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Aug. 20. Hosted by Winn Army Community Hospital, the event is open to the public. The 100 Days of Summer campaign focusing on traffic safety and motorcycle safety has begun and will continue through Sep. 1. There will be increased safety checkpoints to ensure that drivers are buckling up and driving safely by both Ft Stewart PD and surrounding Law Enforcement agencies. (Ongoing) CAC SCAM FROM GOOGLE!:
There is an application from Google Play called CAC Scan.  DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP!   It can scan and decipher the bar code from the front of your CAC Identification Card.  Doing this reveals the ID card holder's Personal Identifiable Information (SSN, EDIPI, etc.) It is currently unknown what the App does with this data but is considered to be a risk to an individual's identity.  DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP!  The Google Play Store has been used to spread Android specific malware before.  Be vigilant on any download or program installations on all of your devices and seek only reputable developers and sources.  Keep your ID Card with you at all times and secured in a safe location when you are not using it.

FMWR BRIEFS

(Today and June 6) TAYLORS CREEK, HUNTER GOLF COURSES OFFER JUNIOR GOLF CAMPS:
Youth ages 7-17 will learn the basics of golf during fun, six-week camps starting Tuesday (May 31) at Taylors Creek Golf Course and on June 6 at Hunter Golf Course. The classes, taught by PGA Professionals John Fesperman of Taylors Creek and Tommie McArthur of Hunter, will be from 9-11 a.m. Tuesdays at Taylors Creek Golf Course and Mondays at Hunter Golf Course. STEWART/HUNTER OUTDOOR POOLS OPEN FOR SEASON:
The Corkan Recreation Area Outdoor Swimming Pool on Fort Stewart (912-767-8575) and the Hunter Army Airfield Outdoor Pool/Water Spray Park (912-315-5786) are open for the summer season. Hours are Thursday-Monday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. (Closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.) Price is $3 daily. Family and individual season passes are $80 each. Season passes can be purchased at Stewart/Hunter Leisure Travel offices or at the pools. Kids under 4 are admitted free. Bryan Village Outdoor Pool is closed this season because of a lack of certified lifeguards.

(Wednesday) JACKSONVILLE JAGUAR TICKETS GO ON SALE AT LEISURE TRAVEL:
Tickets for all pre-season and regular season Jacksonville Jaguars home games will go on sale Wednesday at the Stewart/Hunter Leisure Travel Offices. Prices vary according to the game. The Jaguars play their home games at EverBank Field in Jacksonville and open their 2016 regular season against the Green Bay Packers on Sept. 11. Other 2016 regular season home opponents are the Baltimore Ravens Sept. 25; Oakland Raiders Oct. 23; Houston Texans Nov. 13, Denver Broncos Dec. 4, Minnesota Vikings Dec. 11 and Tennessee Titans Dec. 24.  The Fort Stewart Leisure Travel Office (912-767-2841) is in the PX Furniture Mall Complex. (Friday) “DATE NIGHT” DINNER AND A MOVIE AT CLUB STEWART:
Take that special someone to “Date Night” Dinner and a Movie at Club Stewart on Friday. Watch the heartwarming film, "The Hundred Foot Journey," based on the beloved, best-selling novel about an Indian family that settles in a quaint French village and opens an Indian eatery. The movie is rated PG. Dine on French and Indian inspired cuisine. (Saturday) WHISKERS & BOBBERS KIDS FISHING DAY AT HOLBROOK POND:
Kids (ages 15 and under) of Military ID cardholders are invited to the free Whiskers & Bobbers Kids Fishing Day from 7-10 a.m. Saturday at Holbrook Pond (off Ga. Hwy 144). Register on-site on the day of the event. A limited number of T-shirts will be on sale for $10 each. Kids will be able to catch up to five catfish each, plus have their catch cleaned. Prizes will be awarded in three age groups for the largest catfish caught. Plus, there’ll be a catfish tasting station, door prizes and the Bass Clubs will have a casting competition. Permit and state fishing license fees will be waived. Parents can assist their children, but will not be permitted to fish. (June 7) FREE MONTHLY KIDS GOLF CLINIC AT TAYLORS CREEK:

(June 8) STEWART/HUNTER CHILD CARE REQUESTS SHIFT TO MILITARYCHILDCARE.COM:
Beginning June 8, Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield parents requesting all types of child care will do so online through MilitaryChildCare.com <http://www.MilitaryChildCare.com>, a Department of Defense program designed to improve the child care search process. Requests for full time, before/after school, before/after kinder, FCC, summer camp for School Age Children (or any holiday camps) are affected by this change. Currently, child care arrangements are handled through Stewart/Hunter Parent Central Services. When the child care request process moves exclusively to MilitaryChildCare.com on June 8, Stewart/Hunter Parent Central Services will offer assistance with enrolling online and with other child care questions. The move to MilitaryChildCare.com does not affect Youth Sports. (June 9)  MEN'S & WOMEN'S GOLF CLINIC AT STEWART:

Sunday, 6:30 p.m.: The Savannah VVA Memorial Day Ceremony - The 2nd Brigade Combat Team provides a firing party, and the 3rd ID Band Brass Quintet provides patriotic music.

Monday, 9 a.m.: Fort Stewart, Cottrell Field, Ga., 3rd ID Memorial Day Ceremony - Maj. Gen. Jim Rainey, 3rd ID Commanding General, is the featured speaker.

Monday: 10 a.m.: The Sun City Veteran's Association Memorial Day Ceremony - The 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade provides a Chaplain and a Firing Party.

Monday, 3 p.m.: Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 3563, Vidalia, Ga. Memorial Day Ceremony - Major Jason Wingeart, Executive Officer 2nd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, is the featured speaker, along with a color guard and bugler.
           
Monday, 6 p.m.: Veterans of Effingham County, Springfield, Ga., Memorial Day Ceremony - Major Stephen Gerber, 1st Brigade Combat Team, is the featured speaker.


(Friday-Monday) THE EXCHANGE TRAINING HOLIDAY/HOLIDAY SCHEDULE:
The Exchange at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield will be operating under holiday hours for the Memorial Day training holiday and federal holiday. Please check the hours which have been posted at the facilities, or you may call to find out the specific hours for the service you wish to utilize at 912-876-8880, ext. 200.

(Friday) TRAINING HOLIDAY AFFECTS STEWART/HUNTER LEISURE TRAVEL HOURS:
Fort Stewart's Leisure Travel Office, located in the PX Furniture Exchange, will close at 4 p.m. rather than its usual 6 p.m. on Friday.  Also, the Hunter Leisure Travel Office, located in the PX Exchange, will open at 10 a.m. rather than its usual 9:30 a.m. on Friday (May 27). The Leisure Travel hours changes were made necessary by AAFES adjusting the PX hours because of the Training Holiday. Both Leisure Travel offices are closed Monday, Memorial Day.

(Friday) CLIENT SERVICES OFFICE CLOSURE:  The Legal Assistance Office will be closed Friday for the Division Training Holiday and Monday for the Federal Holiday.  As a reminder Legal Assistance Office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9-11:30 a.m., 1-4:30 p.m., and Thursday from 1-4:30 p.m. For more information, call 912-767-1064.

(Friday) WIN A CAR WITH A HOLE-IN-ONE AT TAYLORS CREEK:

(Saturday) STEWART/HUNTER OUTDOOR POOLS OPEN:
The Corkan Recreation Area Outdoor Swimming Pool on Fort Stewart (912-767-8575) and the Hunter Army Airfield Outdoor Pool/Water Spray Park (912-315-5786) will open for the summer season Saturday, Memorial Day Weekend. Hours will be Thursday-Monday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. (Closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.) Price is $3 daily. Family and individual season passes are $80 each. Season passes can be purchased at Stewart/Hunter Leisure Travel offices or at the pools after opening. Kids under 4 are admitted free. Bryan Village Outdoor Pool is closed this season because of a lack of certified lifeguards.

(Saturday) HOLBROOK MOVIES UNDER THE STARS:
The first showing in the popular Holbrook Pond “Movies Under the Stars” series” will be Saturday and will feature “Home.” The film is rated PG and lasts 93 minutes. The movies are free and begin at sunset. Popcorn and drinks will be available for sale. Movie-goers are asked to bring their own chairs or blankets.  Other movies to be shown are “Minions,” June 24; “Cinderella,” July 22; “Inside Out,” Aug. 20; “Jurassic World,” Sept. 17, and “Transylvania 2,” Oct. 22.
