CONTROLLED BURNING, ongoing:
Fort Stewart's Forestry Branch is in the midst of a
controlled burn season and will be conducting controlled burns at various
locations on the Installation each week. Motorists and pedestrians are advised
to use extra caution when traveling through areas that may be affected by

REWARD OFFERED FOR VANDALISM:
Fort Stewart Police are offering up to a $1000 reward for
information pertaining to the identification, arrest and conviction of
person(s) responsible for spray painting and damaging 22 road signs, 2
government buildings and a roadway which occurred on April 12. Any person with
information regarding this incident should contact the Fort Stewart MPI office
at 912-767-5682 (POC: Investigator Cardozo) or the Fort Stewart Police at
912-767-9629.
TRAFFIC WARNING ON SIGMA STREET, through April 27:
Commuters are encouraged to use caution on Fort Stewart
as railroad crossing construction is planned for Sigma Street from March 27
from 6 a.m. until April 27. DPW is only closing areas around the 5 railroad
crossings on Sigma Street. Motorist are
encouraged to avoid this area to minimize traffic congestion and be alert to
changes in traffic patterns. For more

NEW VISITOR CONTROL CENTER HOURS, Through April 30:
The Directorate of Emergency Services will close the Fort
Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield Visitor Control Centers between the hours of 9
p.m. and 5 a.m. All visitors who have a
valid pass or Common Access Card / Military ID to access post unescorted will
be able to access post as normal.
Visitors who do not have a valid pass or Common Access Card / Military
ID will not be granted unescorted access to the installation and will be
required to have a valid Common Access Card / Military ID holder physically
meet them at Gate 1 (FS) or the Montgomery Gate (HAAF) for access. The valid ID Holder will be the visitor's
"Sponsor" while on the installation.
Once the sponsor meets their guest at the gate they will be allowed to
follow their sponsor in their vehicle to their final destination. Visitors will be logged onto post once the
sponsor arrives at the gate. The Sponsor
will be responsible and held accountable to maintain positive control. Sponsors are also responsible for the
personal conduct of their visitors. Only
valid Sponsors 18 and older will be allow to sponsor Guests/Visitors during
this time period. Up to five visitors
will be allowed per sponsor. Sponsors who fail to obey this directive could

UPDATE YOUR GOARMYED EMAIL PREFERRED ADDRESS, before June
30:
AKO will cease forwarding emails to Army Common Access
Card (CAC) holders on June 30. AKO has
already ceased to forward emails to non-CAC accounts. In order for you to receive information from
GoArmyEd you must update your account information and change your Preferred
Email address to your @mail.mil account.
To update your record select the "Account Information" link at
the bottom of your home page. Once you
update your Preferred Email address please select the "Update Account
Information" button.

TRAFFIC WARNING FOR 16TH STREET, through May 29:
Commuters are encouraged to use caution on Fort Stewart
as road construction is planned for East 6th Street for traffic between Harmon
Avenue and East Bultman, through 6 a.m. until May 26. In addition road
construction will close East 16th Street from Troop Avenue to Harmon
Avenue. The road will be closed from 6
a.m. until May 29. Detour signs and
traffic control devices will be displayed for the duration of the closures. Motorist are encouraged to avoid this area to

The Great FMWR Post-Wide Housing Garage Sale will be held Saturday (April 25)

Garrison Commander’s Foot Golf Scramble, which will get under way at 9 a.m.

Non-competitive runs, as part of the national event in
support of Armed Forces Day, start at 9 a.m. May 16 at Jordan Fitness Center

Road on Hunter. Youth aged 5-13 are invited to participate. Ages 5-6 will run
five-tenths of a mile, ages 7-8 one mile, and ages 9-13 two miles. There’s no
