STEWART GUARDIAN 16: From Monday through Friday (August
15-19), Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield will conduct an Emergency
Response Exercise, known as Stewart Guardian 16. This exercise is required by
Army and Department of Defense Regulations and will test the installation's
capability to respond to emergency events that could happen. During the
designated days, be prepared to hear announcements or warning sirens over our
Emergency Warning System and from emergency vehicles.
Delays may
occur at gates and facilities, so please adjust your schedules as necessary. At
times you may be asked to remain indoors until the all clear is given.
Please follow
the instructions given over the public address system or in the building or
activity in which you are located.
During the
exercise, all forms of communication will be used to include but not limited to
the Team Stewart website, Social Media, and the Early Warning System.
All exercise
announcements will be prefaced with "EXERCISE-EXERCISE-EXERCISE”. Your
